The Natural Lighting Company is family owned and operated by Brooke and Don Nutting. Both Brooke and Don were raised in Albuquerque and are graduates of UNM's Anderson School of Management. Don provides professional experienced installations in existing or new construction homes. Brooke operates the showroom and provides valuable information about our green products.
We are deeply saddened to share the news that our beloved companion, pet, and shop dog, Red, has passed away suddenly. We adopted Red from Albuquerque's east side animal shelter when he was 2. If you have visited our showroom over the last 10 years, you may have had the good fortune to meet Red. Maybe you had the opportunity to give him treats, rub his belly, or really win big and play his favorite game chasing the laser pointer.
We provide brilliant lighting. Our skylights provide as much daylighting as a larger traditional skylight many times its size, making it a truly remarkable solution for any room in your house. Solatube Daylighting Systems are considerably less than traditional skylights or windows, when considering both installation and product costs.

I highly recommend The Natural Lighting Company. From the store visit to install, I had great interactions with everyone involved. I was scheduled for an in-home estimate (analysis of the placement, etc.) and install for a Solatube on separate days, but a last-minute opening allowed for same-day installation. The install process was incredibly fast, quiet, and produced little mess. I am so happy with the final result!

I recently moved into a house that has sun lights that were installed by The Natural Lighting Company with the previous owner (that give off great light!). I was having trouble changing the light bulb, so I emailed the company and received an incredibly prompt and helpful response. Even though the company worked with the previous owner of the house, they were incredibly helpful to me.

We bought the 10” diy kit. It came with everything we needed, and suggested the appropriate tools. I really appreciated being shown via a YouTube video how to install on a flat roof when I went to pick up the solatube. The job was relatively quick and I feel confident that we were able to install it properly based on the Natural Lighting Company’s instructions. I’m trying to convince my husband to let me put in more skylights!

I have used this company about 10 years ago to install two tube lights in my home and never had a single problem. Recently I used them again to install another tube light in my salon and I’m now installing another two units in my new house.
They are very reliable, professional and mess free. I highly recommend them as well these amazing tube lights!!

This company is fantastic. We had installed four solar tubes when our home was built. Our regret was that we hadn’t installed more of them. Then came a re-roof, due to hail damage, and we had the perfect opportunity! Both roofing companies that we got estimates from, recommended The Natural Lighting Company for solar tubes. We visited their location, which is a tiny showroom/office, and found that they now offer solar nightlights as well, installed in the solar tubes, which result in tax credits (easily offsetting the extra cost for the nightlight). We are extremely pleased with our new daylights and nightlights! There are so many good things to say. They have taken a dark and often dreary interior of our home and brought new life to it. As someone who suffers from Seasonal Affected Disorder (SAD) in the fall and winter, I look forward to how this natural lighting with easy those symptoms. And the nightlighting in all 7 units was certainly the way to go for us. It adds texture to the spaces in the evening and increased safety to the spaces overnight. Don and Tim are awesome. We had the darkest kitchen in one of the sunniest places around. It was frustrating and uncomfortable to work in it. After installing 2 Solatubes, our kitchen is now the brightest spot in the house!
