5 stars all the way for Darren and his team! It's never a good feeling when you discover mold in your home. Darren makes you feel at ease with the entire process. This company is incredible. After a few days away from home, I opened my front door and was in shock to see water covering my whole house. I searched online and found many flood service providers and Fix My Home. They answered my call on a Sunday night
and Alec came out within an hour. These guys got to work immediately and within a few hours the water on the floors was gone. The following day FMH came out with a crew. Ken, Oscar and Alec as well as Darren. They showed great care with what was happening at my home.

Called FMH and Ken arrived the same day to walk us through what needed to done to be safe and fix our mold problem due to a slow leak from our built in fridge icemaker. His team arrived the following morning. They were clean, polite, wore masks and protective gear and did a great job. We had a leak in a closet next to a bathroom. After removing part of the wall I had the leak fixed. But, what about the rest of the walls that were moist? or the flooring that was wet as well? I didn't want to take any chances with mold since my son has respiratory issues. I called FMH and they came out within two days. Ken! Ken responded quickly when I was looking for a second opinion on some work already being started on my home. He took a great deal of time answering my questions in extreme detail. I had a mold issue in a patio attached to my home that I had built years ago. I did my due diligence and got two companies to give me an estimate. We called this group to do the water damage mitigation from a slab leak. It felt as though their main concern was that we get through the experience as quickly as possible and with as saving as much of our current walls, cabinetry and flooring as possible. They gave us the scary "Nightmare on MY Street" scenario and a reasonable expectancy scenario, telling us it would be somewhere in between. I hired Fix My Home for a limited mold testing and microbial testing. Darren gave me an impressive 1-hr window for an ETA. Barrett got here at the beginning of it.
Barrett was professional, knowledgeable, and a clear communicator. I appreciated that he wasn't a robot that just came and went. He saw that I was very concerned and stopped his inspection to assure me that my family was safe (I teared up). It stood out to me that while the machine was collecting the air samples, Barrett didn't go on his phone. During that time, he asked if there was anything else I wanted him to look at.

I had a small leak in one of my bathrooms that leaked down into the garage, which I had mold build up through the sub-floor and ceiling of the garage because neglected to take of this issue quickly. Darren came out at our request to investigate some odor problems in our townhouse. We were concerned that it was mold. He was great about communicating before the visit, and arrived on time. He looked around and determined that the smells were most likely not mold but more likely sewer gas venting up from our pipes, a common issue that is easily and inexpensively dealt with. Called FMH on a Wednesday, and Darren was able to come in the next day. Originally was worried about some moisture damage in the ceiling, but Darren found some black mold under the sink that was not remediated all the way from the previous home owners.
