5 Stars isn't sufficient to describe the level of customer service you can expect when storing your items at Chicago Northside Storage in Old Town. The reason is both Joanne and Humberto are amazing and always going the extra mile to help. Over the past 4 years, I have stored both wine and housing items at this location. Throughout that time I never had any issues and only experienced the best customer service imaginable. They set the bar so high that it would be foolish to consider another option to store your items. If I was the owner of this business I would pay both of them more because it

Look no further. These guys are the best. I had to go to Chicago on an emergency and had to get a storage unit quickly. As soon as I called them I knew I was going to choose Chicago Northside Storage. On the phone and in person they made me feel comfortable. They helped me get stuff out of my car, even gave me boxes to put some loose stuff in. They were so helpful during a stressful situation. I can't give them enough praise. They won't disappoint!!!

Great experience signing up and moving in! Joanne and Humberto are very helpful and wonderful people to work with. One of the best customer experiences I've had. Used their moving truck and completed my move-in for 5x10 unit in less than a hour. Pricing is as advertised. My dog loved their treats too.

We called today because our pick-up storage company canceled on us at the last minute. Joanna was incredibly helpful and so efficient. Within ONE hour she had organized space for us and taken care of all the paperwork. They have a truck that we could have used but we drove the stuff over, they helped us unload, and within minutes we were finished. And they were so nice!

Joanne was sent from god. She is the greatest human being to step on the face of this earth. We needed a unit to keep our belongings for a week between apartments. SHE STEPPED UP. Great rate, Free moving truck and Homberto helped us move our stuff in (his is also the greatest guy of all time). If you don't choose this storage facility you are losing at life. The folks at Northside Storage Old Town are honestly the best. I searched for the most affordable storage option and found that they also had excellent facilities and the friendliest, most helpful staff.
Jane and Humberto have gone above and beyond to make sure I have a great experience even if I haven't planned ahead and need a little expert assistance. Anyone will have a great experience with them.
As for the facilities, my space is very clean, cool, and dry. My space is air conditioned and you'd think I was the first to use it from the condition of the space

Old school service with a smile, super clean, conveniently located with competitive pricing, what more could you ask for?
We moved from a large single family home to a two bedroom apartment last week and I found out what more I could get. Joanne and Humberto went beyond the call to make my very difficult move a lot more tolerable, free locks, free truck and dolly use, extra effort every step of the way.

Northside Storage was unbelievably helpful while I rented a unit for about 6 months. When I dropped off my belongings the facility was very clean, secure and easy to access. When it came time to move out I was not in Chicago to arrange things and Diane was an excellent communicator and went above and beyond to make my move easy and flawless!

This is the best storage facility, and the and the best staff that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. The positive experience started with my first inquiry on Yelp, and the excellent service never stopped. They explained the process in great detail and backed up their talk with even helping us organize our packing technique. The box truck usage, which is included as part of your rental, is a huge plus. We even used the truck for staged moves over a months time. Very clean facility and safety is #1! I highly recommend this company!!

My son originally rented this space, and I had to take it over due to his illness. I recently had to empty the contents and have them shipped to another location. CNS helped me in every way they could including providing me with extra boxes, packaging tape, and the use of a truck to transport them to a shipper. They did not have to do do this for us, it was very humanitarian of them to do. I highly recommend them for your storage needs.

A great experience overall. Very friendly and personable. I stored my things for a one bedroom apartment for about a year here. Access was easy if I needed to get something as well as for moving in and out. I was able to use their moving truck both for moving in and moving out. I lost my key to my lock at one point and they were very helpful with this and the price to remedy this was extremely reasonable. I have stored with UHaul before which was fine but this was an above and beyond type experience.

They just opened a new location at 1516 North Orleans recently. I stopped in today panicking because I accidentally put my desktop in with my move items that I dropped off last week. The boxes were all jumbled up and most unmarked, it was looking futile and then Umberto who works there offered to help me. He found the box and even helped me to the car with it. He couldn't have been nicer and so helpful. Thank you Umberto! Amazing service. Highly recommend Northside Storage on Orleans.

Northside storage is definitely the way to go! I had a last minute issue where I needed some storage for only a few days while I was between apartments. All of the big box storage places wanted to charge me for a whole month, by Northside was able to simply prorate me until the end of the month. It saved me a ton of money and hassle. So far, the reviews are no exaggeration. John and Jen were very helpful in setting up my account, and answering any questions I had about the storage unit and use of the (free) truck. Best of all, they acted like real, actual human beings.
The entrance to the building is on Western, so reversing the truck into the loading bay isn't the easiest, but they even helped with that.
Kudos to these folks. So far we're very happy.

Good prices, very friendly and helpful staff, good location and good enough facilities. FREE move in truck (which was a lot more useful than we first thought it would be). We've been very happy with this storage facility for about 9 months now.
The most remarkable part (and the reason why I took the time to write a review) is that twice now I've had to call and change my credit card number for our account. I hate calling anywhere on the phone because it takes forever to get anything accomplished.
BUT both times that I called to change my CC number it took literally less than 50 seconds

I had some furniture delivered to the storage facility thinking I would be in town to unload it and put in my storage area only to find out it was coming in on the weekend I was going to be out of town.
I called up the facility and talked to Marty and he said no problem that he would unload it for me and hold it until I got back in to town. How nice was that, so accommodating he was. So when i finally got back into town I went over to pick up furniture that was delivered and Pamela was there and knew all about it. She showed us where it was stored. I am ashamed it has taken me so long to write a review. I thought it couldn't be real. You sign up and you get 5 FREE boxes, FREE tape, and a FREE lock. Unbelievable. Oh, and a truck to move you in. Seriously? How is this possible.
The people are friendly to top it off. It was unfortunate that the truck had broken down on the day I was going to move in. BUT they let me use it to move out because of it. That was actually way more convenient for me!
When I was satisfied with everything they offered and the price, Marty asked "oh, are you a student?" Yeah. 10% discount
