I called for an estimate and made an appointment with Tom. He evaluated the job of refinishing 1700 sq ft floor only 13 yrs old. He sent an estimate that was acceptable. I left messages concerning the products oil vs water base. Sent several text and phone message. Never returned any call or text. Several weeks later I contracted with SEC refinishing and floor looks fantastic. Don’t know what ever Tom Philips. Have to question their reliability. Happy I went with someone else. Hire at your own risk.

DO NOT USE HARDWOOD RESTORATION SERVICE!!!!!!! If I could have given him a zero, I would have.
Tom took my money and never completed the job. I paid for products and he never delivered them. He is a THIEF. He will not return my phone calls. According to our local magistrate, I cannot bring charges against him because he did some of the work and the cost would be more than it is worth. Tom knows this and continues to steal from others. Don't be one of them. Very bad business man.

Horrible experience across the board. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY.
I have been part of several house remodels in Pittsburgh and he is the worst contractor I have ever worked with.
Tom and his 1 man crew left less than half way through the job. The work they did was not acceptable. The floors they worked on are gouged and scratched. Tom never picked up my call or returned a call after leaving the job.
Left us hanging looking for new contractors on a full house remodel. Very very unprofessional.
You cannot trust this guy or the people he works with. Even if you could his work so far below standard

Bid our project, finished half, and left us in a lurch. Taped off railings, bannisters and never came back. Would not return calls. Would not answer voicemails. I had to block my number to get him to pick up the phone. Worst experience I've ever had with a contractor of any type. Please trust me when I say Tom is a waste of your time and money.
