Scott Sallinger showed his passion for creativity and design early in life. His fascination with Legos, Tinker Toys, and Lincoln Logs was the first indicator of his future career. Growing up in Pasadena, California, he had a passion for all types of boards: keyboards, skateboards, surfboards, and wooden boards.
This living room - mismatched with different furniture pieces - needed a solution that provided extra storage and made the most of its tall narrow spaces. The new built-in fireplace shelves and covered storage make the most of a typically underutilized space in historical homes. Your Contemporary or Historical Built-in Entertainment Center will include everything you need to organize and manage your electronics and cleverly hide all you wiring.
Working from home a lot more now, this couple needed a home office that was neat, organized, and made the most of this tight space. The new home office design provided file drawers, a slide out shelf for the printer, and a window seat to enjoy the open and airy space. Had best experience with Scott and his team with our bookshelves. I had a good idea of what I wanted and had session with Scott where we bounced ideas around. I got two other quotes but went with Scott because of his great attitude and thoughtful suggestions — on price he was very reasonable and consistent with our other quotes, and after seeing finished product it was more than worth the money.

We had a very complicated project to build a media center with a fireplace in a space with an existing wet bar of a historic house. I contacted so many different contractors but nobody could come up with a plan that would work for that space. Then I found Scott who was so knowledgeable and came up with a beautiful plan for this space. He was super professional and completed the project as scheduled. The final project was so beautiful and became the highlight of our house. He was even able to accommodate our request to add Edwardian details to the fireplace mantle. Hiring Scott was one of the best house decisions we've made. We wanted built-in bookcases and shelving to surround the fireplace in our sparse living room, and Scott worked with us to design exactly what we needed. He was extremely patient with and responsive to our feedback, and ultimately transformed a room that we never used, into the room we now spend the most time in. Scott made my vision come true. Absolutely stunning . I had some friends over for dinner not so long ago, and someone commented on how my aquarium was a different kind of wood than all my other furniture. It planted a seed and every time I entered my living room, I noticed all the different textures and shades of wood I had going on. I wanted something to house all of my furniture and have a cohesive look. Working with Scott was an absolute pleasure. Scott completed some beautiful custom cabinetry work for the kitchen, bathrooms, media built-ins, master bedroom built-ins, and under-stair storage. The remodel project was a challenging one, in that there were a lot of difficult angles and small spaces to deal with. We hired Scott to help us find more space in our master bedroom. He assessed the area and came up with a fantastic built in. The two items he built for us were well made and very reliable. They gave us more storage than we had with existing furniture yet made the room feel much, much bigger. He was easy to work with, trustworthy, and completed the project on time.

Scott just finished installing a beautiful custom-built cabinet/bookcase in our home office and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Not only does Scott exude a true passion for his work, but his craftsmanship, precision, and creativity are exceptional. OFFICE SHELVES AND CABINETS. Had new combo office/library that needed lots of shelves, cabinets, printer shelves, computer space, file cabinets. Scott was very attentive to all my needs for those and worked with me several months until we had what I need. He was always available to help and tweak our plans. I subcontracted Scott to build two large bookcases for a remodel project I was working on for one of my best and long term clients. He was very prompt at returning calls and communicated clearly as a professional should. Also he did some preliminary drawings of the units in 3D so my client could see the design and make any changes before it was built.

Scott built my husband and me a beautiful, custom built-in media center for our house in San Francisco. He patiently worked with us on the design (we had some specific ideas about what we wanted, and requirements around how big the space for the TV could be) including going through a number of design iterations. He also came up with an ingenious way to work around an awkwardly-placed pipe.

I can't say enough good things about Scott and the work he did for us. The bookshelf he built was beyond what I could have imaged. He has a great design aesthetic and really understood how to work with our space and within our budget. I like the fact that he is both a designer and a builder. Having someone who does both was really an advantage for us. Scott has a really good eye and made our space look so beautiful! He is easy to work with, very reliable and professional. I'd put 6 stars if I could. Scott created a custom wall unit for the bedroom of my Victorian. I gave him a loose idea of the design I wanted and he embellished it adding design features that I hadn't even considered so that it would be more visually appealing and consistent with the features in the rest of the room. He matched both the design and actual install to the existing molding and doors so that once it was painted, it blended perfectly with the woodwork already there and looked like it was there all along. It was installed on the scheduled date and the quality is impeccable.

We highly recommend Scott and his services. We have used him on projects in two different homes. He was easy to work with, understood our needs, and offered great suggestions. We decided we wanted more storage for the master bedroom of our Forest Hill home. Scott designed, built and installed a cabinet for us that meets our needs perfectly. In addition to providing the storage we wanted, the cabinet is a beautiful addition to the room. We asked Scott to build bookcases into the niches next to the fireplace area in our living room. He came up with a good initial design that fit well with the rest of the room and went through several rounds of revision with me until we had what we wanted. The bookcases were ready to install not too long after they were planned to be. Install was quick and clean, and Scott's assistants were all skilled and careful. You should certainly bring him in for your custom project.
