I ended up committing to an appointment with another sewer line rodding/camera plumbing service company in the midst of those phone calls. However, Drains Inc (Tim) called me back about an hour after those calls and despite mentioning that I booked an appointment with someone else, he did not rush to hang up and go about his day.
Good plumbers are hard to find, Tim was recommended another plumber who was out of town. Tim gave us an estimate over the phone, every thing was done right the first time. They arrived on time, rodded the mainline to the street, cleared out all the roots, returned a full flow, cleaned up, gave us a 6 month guarantee and didn't charge us a penny more than the quoted price.
Tim (owner) and Adam (apprentice) came out and kicked butt. My house is a relatively new purchase. We found out my line not only runs through the neighbor's yard, it runs under their breezeway and into their front yard. And the house is for sale and vacant. Tim took control, tracked down the owner, got permission to dig in their yard not once, but twice, and got the job done.

My wife and I were having flooding problems in our basement. Every time we used the toilets or ran the dishwasher or took showers for the past 2 days, the drain hole in the basement would flood. After being referred to Drains Inc by a plumber, I spoke with Tim over the phone and he was able to come out and take a look the same day.

We had Tim out at our house for multiple projects: our ejector pit pump and water heater replacement. His estimates were accurate, prices were fair, and his work was efficient and expert. After our first time hiring Tim for our ejector pit pump, we knew that he was going to be "our guy" for sewer and drains. When our water heater went, Tim was our first call. We have had lots of root problems in the nearly 40 years we have lived in Wheaton. We finally found someone who can explain what is going on clearly and give us a reasonable rate for his services. Tim and crew showed up when he sad he would, did what he said he would and is my new "Rodding guy"! We will have him back regularly to insure our drains are all doing their thing! I found these guys to be super honest, which is rare in a plumbing contractor. I had a couple contractors look at my issue. One wanted to charge me $2K for something I didn't need done. These guys let me know I didn't need to do the work and they ended up with zero revenue on this job. However, they gained my trust and I will be using them on any future drain needs.

I talked with Tim about getting the sewer lines cleaned out for 2 rental houses. He completely understood what I needed and had a very fair price. It's great talking with someone that isn't trying to BS you and really just tells you the truth. He came on time and did a great job. He used cutter bits up to the 6 inch drain and finished with hydro jetting per my request. He also ran a camera through to verify everything was done. I liked his service so much that I'll be having him come out every year to check the lines and clean as needed. Oh, and he did everything on the same

I asked Drains Inc. for a quote on a leak detection test on my house in Avondale. I was told "Sorry, I don't provide this service." Fair enough, however explain your not a plumber and why you can't perform this task. Better yet, don't put your company in the plumber category. Also, I'm sure you find great joy in letting customers know what you don't do. What do you do? Can you reference another business that will do the job your not capable of?

Very Professional Company! We had a sewer pipe that had crumbled and needed replacement in Lake Forest. Tim came out to quote the repair, he was very nice and explained the fix to me (a female, without acting like I wouldn't understand.) Awesome! One the day of the repair, he and Adam arrived on time, was done with a 3 hour job in 2 hours and had everything he needed for the fix the first time. He and Adam performed the fix without much interruption of my day and they absolutely wonderful! I Highly recommend this service oriented team!

I called Tim at Drains Inc to rod and video my sewer line. I liked that he quoted it on the phone and that the price was very reasonable. My sewer lines were in pretty good condition, and he said so. I agree with the other reviewers that he is courteous and professional. I will call him next time I need maintenance because I live in a wooded area and the lines are over 60 years old.
