At The Foundation Works, we offer simple, effective foundation repairs and retrofit services. Due to the physical access restrictions to many foundations, some preventable issues tend to go unnoticed until they become more severe.
This section may seem quite disrelated to the subject of foundations, soft-stories, earthquake retrofitting, etc, but it is not at all a mistake that it is here! This is not an offer to perform services for our clients, it is instead more of a gift of gathered information as presented by some of the visionary leaders in an emerging subject that for many reasons, is long overdue!

The Foundation Works is here to serve. We set out to raise the standard of an industry sorely in need of it and are creating that effect at an ever-increasing rate!
On an owner occupied single family residence, there is no inspection fee. Beyond that, properties in or going into escrow, insurance inspections, and investment properties do have inspection fees and vary accordingly. After your inspection, you will receive a 'Summary of Findings' typically within 24-48 hours.

Foundation work is no joke. It's not the kind of home improvement you want to skimp on, its too important. And it can be expensive work. And, as always, you get what you pay for.
The Foundation Works is not the cheapest, but they may be the best. Every person at the company that I had occasion to interact with, from the initial inspector, to the accounting office and especially the work crew who came out to do the work, was professional, competent and personable. it was a pleasure to work with them.

This review is from a long time customer of The Foundation Works. Between about 2005 and 2010 I had seismic bolting completed on two separate residences, when Tom Pelletier was the lead and had a few helping hands. I respected his professionalism and straight forward approach. I recently contacted The Foundation Works as I thought I was experiencing building settling at one of the properties and wanted to find out if additional foundation work was needed. I ordered soft story foundation inspection and I received the most ridiculous report. If the building is not on the city's list, you could have told me before come out to the field. This is a complete waste of time and money. Tried to call them multiple times but they just transfer me to the CEO which never picks up. Really horrible service. Please stay away with this company.

We had had an inspection of the foundation done by Alpha Structural, the largest and most reputable foundation repair company in LA and they had said all was fine. But the buyer wanted t a second opinion. Someone referred us to The Foundation Works. They said everything was real bad and wanted to do $28K of repairs. They also refused to provide a breakdown of cost for these repairs. So we brought a third company, Cal Quake, to get an estimate, and made it clear that even they would not get to make any more money than the inspection fee. The entire experience with Foundation Works was top notch from start to finish. The inspector, Danny was prompt, thorough and explained in a detailed report the scope of recommended work including options for repairs, photos, and maps. Roselyn in their main office was very helpful in scheduling the team within a couple days, and made sure the foreman called the night before to reconfirm appointment time and directions.

Everyone at The Foundation Works was professional and kind. They took the time to help me through the process of getting my foundation repaired and seismically retrofitted. Had a great experience with FoundationWorks. Worked on reinforcing stem wall issue. On time, efficient, ended exactly when they said they would and the entire team from initial call, inspection and through work and follow up were friendly and professional. Pricing was reasonable for the work done. Highly recommend.
