Carpenter ants are generally large black ants. They have two distinguishing factors from other ants: They have a smooth, rounded thorax; and They have one node, or bump, in between their thorax and abdomen. Damage Main colonies of carpenter ants are usually outside, where they may have easy access to some sort of rotten wood that provides them with easy nest building material.
Pharaoh ants are very small, around 1/16 inch long. Most of them are yellow or gold in color. To properly identify these ants, you may need to talk to a experienced pest control service and/or use a microscope. Normal pesticides do not work with pharaoh ants and can actually make the problem worse than it already was.
Bed bugs are 4-5mm long which feed by biting humans and sucking their blood. Their bites rarely wake a sleeping person but produce large, itchy welts on the skin, They are attracted to their victims by the C02 they exhale - not their body temperature, The typical life span of a bed bug is 10 months and they can survive for 8 months without feeding.
Cluster flies are a little bit larger than the regular house fly. Live or "fresh" cluster flies have fine gold colored hairs on the sides of their thorax. They are called cluster flies because they overwinter in large clusters inside wall voids and attics. These are the sluggish flies that you may see on a sunny winter day congregating by a window where there is warmth.

Seriously, look no further. I thought all 5 stars?? Must be too good to be true. I was wrong, this service met and exceeded my expectations. Ahmed is thorough, professional, fair, attentive to your needs and incredibly kind. I kind of don't want to leave a review because my issue was so gross. Our condo basement had the worst - worst - rat issue. I called at least 5 different companies and asked what their plan of attack would be to solve the issue but also keep the cost within reason as we had some relatively large expenses in the past year. Ahmed was very professional and responsive. I called him for treatment at my parents tenants basement, and he came promptly (Same day) and explained everything thoroughly to my mother and I (via the phone because I was not able to be present). I called Promax at 530 on a Monday night. My apartment was infested with moths and moth larvae. Another night could have meant the infestation doubling in size. Everyone else I called offered appointments by 11 am or 3 pm next day. Promax came out that night. Arrived by 730 pm. Did all the work and was put by 9 pm. Didn't charge extra fees for emergency service or night service. Payment via e-check. Couldn't ask for better customer service and professionalism. Thank you.

Thank you!! Excellent service and got the job done! We had a stray dying kitten wander into our basement and Ahmed was able to come out that same evening to take a look at the poor guy. He was so gentle and was able to nurse and strengthen it enough to take it to the local vet so that he can be revived and hopefully make a full recovery. Ahmed went above and beyond and we are so appreciative. Thanks again!!!

Awesome service. We had a major ant problem and within minutes the ants were gone! Very professional, quick and honest. Amazing customer service and he did a thorough job at our apartment, I would highly recommend. I called a few other companies before calling Promax and they wouldn't be able to send someone out for a few days. I saw the great reviews for Promax on yelp late in the evening and called thinking I'd get a voicemail but amazingly someone answered my call and was there the next morning to fumigate. Had a mouse in the house and PROMAX did a tremendous job.
Came across the critter on a Saturday morning. The owner operator came right away, examined the property and laid traps. His exam was extensive and he gave reassuring advice on what to expect. The mouse was trapped the next morning (Sunday) and he came back to collect the animal and re-examine the house. He laid additional traps in high risk areas and promised to come back to reassess the situation.
I only wish that all service providers in the city could be as warm profession and helpful.
