After dealing unsuccessfully with 1 other company and an independent contractor we were referred to California Mantel. We were told before we needed an entire new kit amounting to hundreds of dollars. Rob came today and with his experience was able to determine an issue that resulted in a simple fix..very simple! He saved the day! I would highly recommend California Mantel!

They were scheduled to come out to my home today between 3:00 and 5:00 to repair my gas fireplace. No one ever showed. When I called to find out what was going on, I was told that my appointment was scheduled but never assigned to anyone. All they offered to do was reschedule. No thanks. Obviously a clueless, unreliable, inept company. If they can't get simple scheduling right, why would I ever trust them to work on my fireplace?

I bought two new Superior fireplaces online for our new house we are building. Had them installed, ducted, etc. but we didn't have gas service at the time so they could not be fired up. Called California Mantel and Fireplace to see if they could assist with start up due to complicated electric ignition and remote control. They said they would gladly assist with start up. They only wanted $685 PER fireplace to provide this service! These fireplaces only cost $1,250 to purchase.

I sent the following note in to this company on 2/15/21. They came out with part and said they needed more parts. It's 3/18/21 and nobody has called me to update the status of repair. Still waiting.....
I'm writing to you because of the lack of communication that I have received from your company. I just want you to be aware of the timeline of events regarding a simple service call.
1/18 - called for a follow up repair of a Montego fire place because your company had serviced it in December and the same issue was occurring.

My gas fireplace needed repair. I called California Mantel and was scheduled the following week. Communication was great (email and phone call confirmation of service window). It ended up being a quick fix and the tech cleaned the entire thing, answered my questions and wrapped up in 40 minutes. Overall very happy with the service. My fireplace looks new. They will be my first call next time I have an issue!

Mana is so awesome! He came to install a fan kit in our fireplace and he was extremely informative and thorough in explaining all the different aspects of how to maintain the fireplace. When I requested for a remote to be installed, he did that as well. Mana is friendly and professional, couldn't ask for a better technician!!

The two men that came to my house fixed our issues within 10 minutes. They were both very knowledgeable and explained the issue I had. They gave me great advise on how to properly care for my fireplace to prevent any issues in the future. They also went above and beyond by informing me I could go to the Cal Mantel website to possibly upgrade on accessories for my fireplace which I did not know I could do. I foresee myself using this companies service again. Thank you!

I began by reaching out for a quote and started a back and forth with Cory. She was extremely helpful troubleshooting before getting a technician out. In the end, I needed a technician. Our fireplace had broken down due to some issue and we had requested folks over CMF to service our fireplace immediately (since it was peak of winter)
5 stars for David who not only quickly identified the issue, but quickly got the parts required and fixed it in no time. The whole thing took him 15 minutes. Excellent service and really knowledgeable.
Giving 4 star only because it took CMF to send someone to look at our place after almost 3 weeks, please get more folks to service the place.

Our new home fireplace needed some cleaning and maintenance. I called up and Dave was sent over in a matter of days. He was early and on point. Made sure everything was clean and careful not make a mess. Dave was also helpful answering some questions and concerns I had ready for him. Also, the rate for services is very reasonable. I will save them as my contact for future cleaning and maintenance!
