Your factory built fireplace which can be installed in a day or two at a substantially less cost than traditional masonry fireplaces can go in almost any room. While the install the stove went OK, when we got a cleaning an unqualified person showed up and could not complete it the first time. Took another month to get other cleaners out and they left screws unattached in the back of stove that i had to put back myself. Could not get in contact with them (phone/email) for weeks to fix this either. Would not recommend cleaning service.

After the "city boy" burned green wood in the fireplace and smoked up the entire house, it was obviously time for a fireplace insert. Owner Steve Richard came over and recommended what was needed. The installation was easy and done in an expert way. When heat was needed or if the electricity went out, all I had to do was press the remote button. Life became simpler thanks to Steve and the Frost & Flame guys. Highly recommended!!!! Don't know what went wrong with the negative comments but in my experience everyone was professional and delivered on exactly what they said they were going to do.

I would echo the comments here. Dealing with the owner on the sale is fine-- the rest is a disaster.

It is incredibly frustrating trying to deal with follow up service. (In my case even when dropping over $6000 with them.)

Communication is terrible. Weeks go by without email or phone calls answered. First service on a fireplace took more than two months to confirm from when first raised issue with new unit. The "repair" was unprofessional, at best, and did not solve the problem. A subsequent repair (a few months later) seemed to have resolved the initial issue, but then created a

The salespeople were nice enough but we couldn't see any product because we had to walk into a corridor with plastic opaque canvas. We wanted to actually see a stove not look online. We did that already. At least make it clear plastic, for heavens sake.

Eight years ago Frost & Flame turned my 2 season sunroom into a 4 season sunroom by installing a gas stove. It was a complicated installation, which was done perfectly. Kudos to owner Steve and his crew. In the years since they have been out to house a few times for cleanings and an occasional tune up, always on time and friendly. Today Steve came out to give us a quote on another project, and instead of just taking our money for what we thought we wanted, he solved the problem at no charge and wouldn’t even take the lunch money we offered. Highly recommended!

Went to Frost & Flame this morning to get some help about my Vermont Castings propane stove. Older model not sure how to open front glass enclosure or the swing out underneath is not seating properly. The heavy set guys attitude was older stove you didn't buy it from us not really sure what to tell you. It was like I was bothering him. Was going to buy a screen and heat shield. Not with there attitude. Do not waste your time with these idiots plenty of other stove shops that I'm sure would welcome your business.

Easily the worst company we've ever done business with. A few years ago, we had the owner visit for a consultation to install a standalone gas stove. After discussing placement options, he recommended one corner which would vent out underneath a roof line without gutters. When we asked whether that would be an issue and whether we'd need gutters, he said no and that rain water would not come in through the vent.
Install day came and went. We chose to place the stove directly on wood floors instead of on a hearth; they left some dings in the floor during the install.

After hearing what it would cost to have my wood stove looked at, I decided to tackle the project myself. I ordered parts through them. Prices were comparable to what I found online. I called to order two pieces and was told it would “take a while.”
After waiting a couple weeks, I checked back in and got a little bit of a gruff reply. I was told the order was in and I just had to wait. After another week I called again - nothing.
I finally went into the store and asked them to look up the order. It had never been ordered...
I will say, they rushed the order that day and the parts came in

Wanted a wood stove for my home, after I paid $25 for an evaluation for the in-home visit nobody returns my calls and nobody gave me anything find someone who wants your business and I want my $25 back.
Several days after posting this Brian finally called me to give me the run-around. He is in the wrong line of work even if his uncle is the 'big cheese' (his words), these people are not reliable or even truthful go anywhere else save your time and money. I did get another company that is happy to get my business.

This company did a great job selling us a gas fireplace insert. The install went fine as the whole house was new construction.( 2 1/2 years ago ) Since that time. we have called for service 3 times. The first was handled fairly promptly. The second time we had to call several times and then waited all day day for a 9 AM service call. They showed up finally at 8:30 at night. Turned out to be a faulty computer module and wasted our whole day.

This time we call call the third week of September 2018 and we were scheduled for October 12 at 9 AM No sign of them ,no answer at store

I will explain why I will never shop here again and why I will not recommend this place to others. My task was simple - replace the low voltage thermostat for my propane stove (purchased here years ago). I was offered two choices - simple dial unit vs. fancy digital. I opted for simple. These guys could not determine the price so they defaulted to $56 (which is absurd for this simple switch). I questioned the price thinking that they would come to their senses - nothing. I asked them if I should just go down the road to the Big Box and they said go for it. I walked out stating that they were loosing

So where do you start with this company.. NO follow up after the sale... Poor service on products purchased, terrible customer service. I purchase my pellett stove several years ago and Frost and Flame has been terrible ever since.. There is NO reason this place should still be in business.

I highly recommend Frost & Flame for your fireplace work, installs, enhancements and problem solving. They closed in a 60 year old fireplace with custom screen/glass bi-fold doors and our house is over 35% warmer...for years I was losing heat and now the home is snug. They did everything they said they would on the date they promised

When it was about selling me a fire place insert, the owner even came out for the consultation. That was 4 years ago. I wonder if he is even still around anymore.
This year I needed a new transmitter for my the remote feature of my fireplace. Many calls, emails, .. no response for months. Finally a couple of weeks ago, I got lucky and got someone on the phone who knew something.. and he ordered the transmitter.
When I went to pick it up yesterday.. they charged me $126.00 for the transmitter.
BUT .. they mistakenly left the receipt for the 4 transmitters they had ordered from the manufacturer

Have had them out twice already this year for the same service issue. Can't fix the problem. Can't return phone calls. We waited several weeks for the latest service issue and were assured the problem was fixed. An hour later, we had no heat. We called twice more, only to get no response at all. Sent a complaining email and were given lip service. Still no sign of a service person. We are done with this company.
