Norbert and his crew have completed 3 jobs for me. Each time, the work was meticulous. I prefer to wait for Norbert's team to be available than to use someone else. Norbert is communicative and clear - if he tells you something will cost $5, it will cost $5 unless you change the scope. When his team says they will be on-site at 7:15, they will be there at 7:15 or they will tell you they will be there at another time before you are waiting for them. Norbert has repaired walls, ceilings, floors, and more for me. I value the skill of his team, his clear communication, and consistency.

My husband and I have had nothing but nightmare experiences with contractors so when it came time to hang a door on our bedroom closet we kept putting it off! I found Norbert on Yelp based on his amazing reviews from others. If I could give him 10 stars, I would!! I honestly wish I would have found him much sooner!! He is exceptional when it comes to good communication, detailed explanation and of course his craftsmanship. These guys are amazing! I needed to get a back-splash installed in my kitchen near the stove area, which was long overdue. Chicago Handy was very direct, responsive, and professional all throughout the entire process. You will need to provide materials such as Tiles and Grout if you're going with a back-splash like I did, but otherwise, Chicago Handy was able to answer all my questions while picking out the materials. They've got the experience, equipment, and professionalism to get the job done and done very well. Amazing job. Highly recommend.

I picked Chicago Handy based on all of the glowing Yelp reviews and now I can add to that collection. Norbert responds extremely quickly, is knowledgeable, and realistic about what he can promise at the time. I had a laundry list of needs - but especially wanted my backsplash installed. Norbert was not able to accommodate the other needs given their schedule and staffing at the moment, but was able to have technicians come and help with a quick turnaround, friendly and efficient work, and a beautiful result. Norbert at Chicago Handy was recommended to us by an interior designer - and we're so happy we found them. We needed some drywall patching and re-painting after we had some new electrical installed, as well as a few other odds and ends in our home. Norbert was extremely communicative before hand - asking for photos and details of what needed to be done so he could quote us an accurate time. I was turning over my condo to new tenants and needed to get some touch ups done on the unit, including a fresh coat of paint on the walls, replacing/fixing closet doors, re-caulking the shower and other miscellaneous items. Norbert was very prompt in his response, came out to the unit the next day to take a look and provide a better estimate on time/cost and his technician Mark began the work a couple days later. I hired Chicago Handy for a fairly long list of maintenance jobs: patching drywall, replacing pipes, regrouting, removing a garbage disposal, and so on. I had no experience with home maintenance and that wasn't a problem. Norbert did an in-home consultation and patiently explained what needed to be done and purchased. So I was Referred to Norbert of Chicago Handy by a friend. So I reached out to him very friendly on the phone and was very accommodating because I had two brand new toilets to be installed. Norbert's team came to install a tile backsplash on in my kitchen. From my first contact with Norbert to the finished product, it was an amazing experience working with his team. Norbert was very communicative, responsive, and clear about what he needed from me and what his team would provide. His guys were timely, took extra precautions to keep my space clean with plastic and tarp on all exposed surfaces, and did great work. Norbert with Chicago Handy was excellent for the glass subway tile backsplash install in my kitchen! He was quick to respond when I reached out for a quote, he gave a very reasonable quote for the job and had his tech Arek scheduled to my place ASAP. I had purchased the tile and grout previous to the job, but Arek did a great job showing up early (much appreciated) before I left for work to get set up and make sure the tile was installed as I had envisioned it. We had an excellent experience with Norbert. He responded to our emails quickly, repaired a wide range of projects (e.g. lighting, plumbing, appliances, etc.) and took care of everything from start-to-finish (e.g. tools, clean-up, etc.).

Being a single woman will have challenges, but It has never been about loneliness. I'd rather have a handyman available at the snap of my fingers. I needed my flat-screen TV hung.
