We have been engaged in an 18 month renovation of our home, and the last two things we needed to replace were an old garage door and some existing gates for the courtyard entrance to our home. Very disappointed. Martin installed a very nice gate but getting follow up service was very frustrating. The first time the gate needed repair he finally showed up after about 5 pleading phone calls. This time, I called and texted him about 15 times with no response. The loop that opens the gate when you drive down the driveway stopped functioning. I finally had to find a new gate repairman. It would have been so much easier to have Martin at Celtic fix it because he knew the system. Like I said, beautiful gate, very poor follow-up service.

We had Celtic Gates install wooden electric gates in our Tarzana home. I was needing to replace an old front gate at my house in the driveway. I was looking around for options and came across Celtic Gates on Yelp and saw that there were a lot of great reviews so I put an inquiry on their site. It seems that most Yelpers have said all of the glowing things we, too, experienced with Martin and his team.. Martin is very professional and from the initial call that I made over the phone to inquire, it was already evident that he was the person to do the job. I love that he takes pride in the craftsmanship of his work and he takes care of his customers like family.
His pricing is upfront, no surprises and he explains the process thoroughly.
Anyway, our automatic gate was installed today--a few days earlier than we expected and oh by golly! It is a beauty and it functions like a dream!

First off I would like to write about Martin. You cannot meet a more genuine or better human being on this world. On our initial meeting we hit it off. Working with him was fun and he really made me feel comfortable when dealing with him. When it came down to business he broke everything down idiot style so even a meat head , like myself, could understand.

Martin and his team at Celtic Gates did a fantastic job on our new driveway electric gates. We were given reference to Celtic gate from friends in Pasadena that had already used them for their home. Martin returned calls promptly, showed up on for meetings on time, worked with us collaboratively on the design and details of the gate and provided a competitive estimate. During the design, Martin exchanged pictures and dimensioned sketches to get us heading toward a design. We found details we wanted and Martin found them and included them in the design.

We hired Martin and his team to build two new sliding gates and one swing gate for our semi-circular driveway in the house we just bought. The old gates and motors were in such bad condition that pieces of wood were literally falling off the gates every few weeks and the motors never worked reliably and were lacking basic safety features. To make matters worse, the existing swing gate was an accordion style gate (two pieces that can swing either way) and could have damaged vehicles by swinging outward into the street area - there was nothing holding it back if you let go of it. We hired Martin to install a new garage door and an automatic driveway gate. The garage door is a simple steel door; since it's not really visible from the street we didn't bother to get too elaborate. Martin still made sure all considerations were made so the installation would go smoothly and his staff made quick work of it.
The driveway gate, however, is visible from the street and we wanted something to go with our Spanish Colonial house. We wanted it to be automatic, and we made the project even trickier by having an extremely narrow driveway. Martin tackled all of these issues
