This is a question I get asked a lot. Many variables can affect the price of an installation. Such as: the tile type, size, pattern, amount of demolition, preparation, and cutting, for example. I can answer the question of cost only after I know these variables. Typically a plywood floor can be tiled over.

I highly recommend Chris. He did an outstanding job removing our old fiberglass shower and replacing it with tile. Did everything exactly as we wanted it. Was remarkably fast, organized and clearly very experienced. Also just a real nice easy-going guy who will take the time to answer questions and provide recommendations.
I found out about Chris from a good friend who recommended him and I would certainly now recommend him as well.

I had a leaky shower pan, called Chris and he came out and gave me some excellent professional advise. The work he did on the shower (full replacement, tile, hardware, shower pan) was perfect. Great price, amazing workmanship and an honest nice guy. We love our new shower. Highly recommend this guy.

I work for a commercial GC & was searching for an installer. I called this company & Chris stated he only does residential. However he was polite, professional, & helpful. Chris redirected me to a company who may help via play-by-play.
Having worked in the industry for over a decade, I generally run into Subs who are curt & exude a "Too busy for this" vibe ... It's refreshing to know there are still good ole' contractors around.

Today Chris tiled my fireplace with marble and did kitchen backsplash. On a previous occasion, he also tiled my bathroom shower wall. He's not only excellent at his craft, he's punctual and honest. He's an artist and a true professional. He works fast too. Very low Maintanace, you won't know that he's even there. That tells you he really knows his work. I recommended him to my family members and everyone at work. I only hope that he's not retired by the time I sell my condo and move into a single family home. I used Chris for our bathroom remodel. We used large format tiles (36x18 and 24x24), which many installers struggle with. The custom no step shower with linear drain was tricky to do, but Chris totally got what I wanted to achieve and did a fantastic job. He communicates well, and is very pleasant to work with! He is not the cheap tile man, but you get what you pay for - and I am very pleased with the result. I am very picky and detailed orientated, so this praise really means something! And last but not least: he sticks to a schedule!

Chris communicated very well as we planned our project, gave advice on products to purchase & helped me think through product options (tile size, grout, edging) to get the final look we wanted to achieve.
Chris showed up on schedule to install the tile and completed the installation on the same day (as planned). The work looks excellent.

We wanted to remodel a bathroom, including replacing the shower, bathroom floor, and countertop. The project started because the shower was leaking. We have had trouble with contractors not responding or being very slow to respond. They would return a phone call or email in 4 or 5 days with no apologies as if having a customer wait that long is perfectly normal. Chris would always return calls, texts, and emails promptly.
Chris was extremely knowledgeable and never had to guess at an answer. After talking to him we realized he had done this many times. He also never asked for money up front

We have used Chris in both our houses and were very pleased. He did tile floors in our old home, backslash in our kitchen and bathrooms, and a fireplace. He is honest and prices were on point. Anytime I had a question he'd call me back and he was always on time. I would highly recommend Chris for any tile job.

Our experience with Chris was fantastic. He responded quickly with a quote, showed up as scheduled and did wonderful work. Having had frustrating experiences with other contractors in the past, it was so refreshing! His work was beautiful and I appreciated his attention to detail. He mixed grout colors beautifully to blend with the tile. I will definitely be referring him to friends for future work.

We have now hired Chris Linback twice to do tiling work. The first time, he built an entire shower in the master bathroom, using white subway tile and colored-glass accent tile. The second time, Chris placed large tiles on the floor and along the wall of our front bathroom, as well as installing a sink and cabinet/vanity.
We are very happy with both jobs. The craftsmanship is extremely professional and looks really clean and modern (I'm sure Chris can work in other styles as well, of course).

Chris did a wonderful job placing tile for me, both indoors and outdoors. We replaced the carpet in our bathroom with tile. We had a design style in mind, but weren't sure it would work given the odd shaped room. Chris understood how to implement the design in a very balanced and appealing manner. His outdoor tile work was also impeccable. If there was ever a question about anything he was sure to ask instead of assuming something and proceeding. That is professionalism! I strongly recommend him.
