Every client and their garden needs' presents a unique opportunity to find the true expression of form following function and the beauty of everyday objects. Geometry creates the framework for the full-bodied exuberance of nature. It's not enough to just grow pretty plants. Our gardens focus on necessary ecological services, from growing food for us, to providing habitat for all species.
In particular this includes a strong emphasis on Native plant species. All phases of Permaculture-based home landscape development are provided by Westland Gardens, including Counseling for home owners that want to do-it-yourself. Need more help? We can work that out, but fundamentally we want to facilitate everyone becoming active gardeners.
Before Rain Gardens became common, we built this rainwater catchment in 1988. We are also knowledgeable plants people, growing and designing with a broad variety of plants, especially for the Edible Forest Garden. Landscapes are alive and growing, which means that "maintenance" is an outmoded approach when applied to the ecologically designed garden.

Westland Gardens provides a full range of residential landscape services, including landscape design, installation, and garden development coaching. Site survey & analysis based upon the Permaculture zones & sectors and "scales of permanence.". Many people enjoy building their own gardens, and we salute them for it!
