Our central heater suddenly stopped working and I called this place off of reviews alone. It seems like it's a small family business and they take their work very seriously. The owner, Mike, stopped by two separate times to check out our heater (it broke a second time for a totally different reason) and make a quick repair each time. He was professional, timely, and so approachable that my husband felt like he made a new friend! we'll definitely be calling C&T for any hvac repair needs in the future.

Mike is the owner and has been servicing heaters for decades. Everyone in my building has a really old heater. Mike used to come to the building with his dad and now owns and runs things and still comes to each job, looks at what needs to be done, discusses all the options and gets a team out asap. Great work by the team that showed up, competitive and resaonable prices. Everyone showed up early and did a great job.

I can't speak highly enough about C&T - Mike and his team have saved us more than once now when we have had urgent heating and AC issues, naturally during the hottest weeks of summer and coldest weeks of winter. During COVID, the team showed up in masks, were extremely quick and thorough with diagnosing the issue, and pricing was extremely fair. This is the only HVAC provider we will use moving forward!

It was difficult finding a company that worked on 1925 floor furnaces. C&T Service does, and they did an excellent job on mine.
I was given a quote that was within my budget, and the work done was first-grade. The technicians had to crawl under my house, and there is not a lot of wiggle room, to cap the gas line in order to remove a part they took to the shop to be repaired.
There was a gas leak when I called them, and the gas company warned me not to use the furnace. It was very unsafe. Mike Constantine, the owner, said there were no safety features so he brought my furnace up to code. God answered

This review is purely about that phone staff. Beware of Claire and Stephanie. They will tell on the phone and use profanities. I feel bad for the owner. I left a voice mail to have Mike call me and Claire called. She wouldn't put me in contact with him. They didn't send me the bid he wanted to provide until I reached out a couple days later. Mike told me one thing and the girls say another. Mike seemed knowledgeable but due to his disrespectful and incompetent staff, I may never know. Use extreme caution with this company.

Mike & his 2 techs were very experienced and provided outstanding service. They got my old gravity floor heater up and running that is inside a 1924 craftsman home in Highland Park. They even installed a very nice thermostat. Everything was done professionally and clean. Now I don't have to suffer in those cold winters because now the heater warms up the whole house in minutes! prices were reasonable. I had 3 AC techs come to fix this problem before Mike. No solutions. I also had impatient tenants who needed AC. Mike arrived and within 30 minutes or so had the problem solved. I had happy tenants and I didn't have to spend any more money because of Mike's knowledge, honesty and expertise. The other option would have been to spend thousands of dollars on a new system. I am absolutely using Mike in the future for my AC/heat issues for my house and for my real estate business. I experienced none of the issues that are in the negative reviews here.

No doubt, Mike is a very professional guy. He serviced me for so many years. He used to answer phone calls and scheduled appointment time by himself. I guess he is getting more popular and busy, now he has a lady to answer phone call, this makes me to hesitate to use him again. She is the rudest person I ever talk with. We had an AC failure during the great 2018 "Heatstorm". Nobody could help me sooner than three days except these guys, who fitted me in the day I called. This is long overdue, as Mike Constantine visited us during the Holidays last year. Our HVAC was leaking and Mike showed up immediately. It was a quick adjustment, which he took care of for free. He said he didn't feel right charging us for such an easy fix. He also recommended a very cost efficient filter, letting us know the ones we were sold were less efficient and more expensive. Extremely honest, with a ton of integrity. I will use him for all of our future needs, as well as recommend him to everyone I know.

Loved the service. Mike came over did a quick diagnostics, turned out it was not a big deal. some other quoted i got had recommended i change the whole unit. To not bury the lede: Mike completed a complex job for me that no one else would touch. He repaired my broken, improperly installed floor furnace according to his first estimate, with more warranty than I asked for, with a crew of three, on the rainiest day of Spring, 2017.
First, I have a floor furnace ... which means 80% of the vendors I researched on Yelp wouldn't even go near it.
Second, some previous owner had improperly installed the pilot light system under the house instead of at floor level. Because of this scenario, every other vendor I talked to besides C&T Services

I can't say enough good things about Mike! He is the best!! I have a gravity furnace and they don't even make parts for these anymore. He custom made all the parts he needed to create a secure tight fitting and fixtures. Previous contractor did a shotty job and he was able to come in and clean up the mess.
He also knows how to deal with very problematic tenants. He does not discuss any issues that he's fixing and just tells them to contact the landlord. Mike is very discreet and doesn't discuss anything with the tenant including billing.

When mike took off the old unit from the wall we were surprise to see a huge hole there!!
Even if I told him just to install the heater and cover the hole like the old one was...he didn't accept!
He said it will not be professional to leave it like this and he work for 45 minutes - an hour just to cover the hole in the wall first!!
