Hot tapping is also known as wet tapping. It is a way to tap into a water line while it is under pressure and add a line, drain the system or add a Thermowell or sensor. You place a hot tap service saddle or sleeve onto the line. You add a valve and test the connection under pressure with a hydrostatic pump.
PS 3425 Copper Hot Tap Saddles are ANSI NSF 61 and 61G Low Lead Certified by WQA. PipeMan is the largest stocking dealer of the PS 3425 All S/S Specialty Hot Tap Service Saddle for Copper Pipe in North America. We can normally ship the same day or next day. They are produced in Texas with our Unique GorillaGrip NBR Gasket that completely eliminates the electrolysis that normally occurs with most hot tapping saddles on copper pipe.
The JCM 418 Fabricated Threaded Outlet Tapping Sleeve is especially recommended for service connections, air relief valve connections, taps on larger A/C, Cast Iron, Ductile Iron, PVC and Reinforced Concrete Pipe. The heavy gasket section and full sleeve support of this fitting offer much more stability, pipe reinforcement and strength than a strapped saddle, yet they are competitively priced.
