We had a full installation of heating and air unit last year, and a water heater as well, and it's all working great. They've even come out to do mainstream and install new filters. Just yesterday though, our thermostat panel conked out on us on one of the coldest nights of the year. Despite being right before the holidays when a lot of staff might be out, Sherlock was able to get a tech out to us first thing this morning, squeezing us in between other appointments so we wouldn't freeze! Jonathan was polite, professional, explained his findings, and also explained the process for resolving the issue with my heating unit. He even took pictures and showed me exactly what part needed to be replaced. Even more importantly, Jonathan identified a water leak in my home’s structure that he found during his assessment of my heating unit. These findings show that Jonathan has outstanding attention to detail and is committed to helping the customer. This is the second time I called Sherlock Plumbing and Heating & Air. The first time I was very pleased, the second time I am VERY DISAPPOINTED!! I elected for their heating and A/C service and the field technician, Josh and his assistant Alex showed up at my home. They inspected the heating furnace and requested to take out the heat exchanger for no additional charge. Josh stated there were two cracks in the heat exchanger which may result in carbon monoxide leaking into my home and needed to replace the furnace ASAP. They mentioned to me a few times the crack will result in carbon monoxide

It's a rarity to find a company that really walks the talk when it comes to customer service and satisfaction but I'm pleased to say that Sherlock has stepped up and made things right with me. I'm truly impressed with the way they came around to keep me whole on the matter I initially wrote about and I will certainly go back with them after the commitment they've shown to rectify the situation I had with them. It was so good to see Josh again, such a knowledgeable and delightful young man. He responded to a call about a blinking light (yeah I know....go figure) but hey, when you know nothing about a heater, smell propane and see a blinking red light, you "Call the man." He services the heater found them source of the blinker and actually saved our lives by tightening a loosened valve from the hot water heater that had been worked on by a plumber two weeks ago. Sherlock installed a new Lennox heat pump system in my home that previously only had a wall heater. From start to finish, everyone I worked with at Sherlock was extremely professional and helpful. My primary contacts were Jim G (Sales) and Billy M (Installer) who were both exceptional. Jim worked to provide reasonable pricing and clearly explained all agreements and financing options. Billy and his team had great communication, left the house cleaner than when they arrived and spent the time to walk me through the full install. Highly recommended!

It's anxiety producing when a major appliance needs replacing. I was impressed with how organized and communicative Sherlock was. They kept me updated on time frames, explained processes and were genuinely kind human beings. We had to have a new AC/Heater installed which for our particular home required a city permit, a crane and a lot of organizing.

Ending price matched estimate and they were positive in working with me in making our new system work out, price wise and install wise. On June 10th Eric came to complete our regular inspection. He noticed our unit needed a few repairs and asked if i would consider scheduling an appointment with a comfort consultant for a complete inspection.
Comfort Consultant, Neil Nath came on June 17th and was excellent! We discussed the repairs needed and wrote up 3 estimates. He was sensitive to our fixed income status and divided the entire job into segments that fit into our budget. His estimate was honored when we scheduled the work. We appreciate his thoroughness and patience.

This is the second review I am making regarding our service from Sherlock Plumbing, Heating & Air. I deleted the first review as the rating was poor and I didn't want it to be reflective of their rating as they have went above and beyond to make it right.
Sherlock put in our Lennox HVAC system five years ago, and they did a stellar job. Very thorough and beautiful duct work and vents were installed. The installers and the technicians are very nice and pleasant to work with. They really make sure you as a consumer understand what they are doing.

It was the middle of Aug. days were getting hot. Wanted to understand how much it would cost to repair my air conditioner unit. It had just failed a day prior.
Appointment organization was impressive. Sms reminders and name and picture of person who is to arrive. Great communication.
$450 Air condition repair quote. The part to be repaired $30. Amount of work, 30minutes. Clearly a business needs to make money. But this seemed a bit extreme in my opinion. Maybe it's common in the industry.
To be fair, person who came out was great. Very professional.

I'm torn on this as it's a matter of principle for me as a consumer. I am very happy with the service I received and the technician was great and all things being equal I would recommend them to anyone.

I had high hopes from the reviews but was very disappointed. The two people who came out were friendly and professional. They diagnosed the problem with our ac unit- could not turn on, older so probably not worth the cost to repair (which I agree), basically just toast. The quoted me pretty high for a new ac unit and said I'd get a discount if I said yes that day. We felt pressured, especially when we are looking at that amount of money so I said no. The team at Sherlock Plumbing, Heating & Air is top notch. What started as an emergency AC repair in the summer of 2020 culminated with a long overdue full system upgrade, mini split installation and water heater upgrade.

Sherlock was referred to me by my neighbor. They were professional and polite on the phone, and we were able to get an appointment quickly. Derrick was also timely, professional, and thorough. My only complaint is the cost. I suspected and Derrick confirmed that the capacitor in my AC unit failed, and he replaced it (a $15 part) in about 20 minutes and followed with a thorough inspection of the entire HVAC system which took another 20-25 minutes. $331 for the entire service feels on

We didn't end up going with this company.. but they did provide white glove service from start to finish. Our heater broke during the prior winter. They set up an appt quickly.. and sent someone out to evaluate at cost. (You pay for the consult and - if you decide to go with them - they deduct from the overall quote.) In the end, we felt the quote was a bit on the higher end.. but the evaluation did provide a spectrum of options.
