I called Heads this morning because my heater stopped working. I checked the breaker at the unit and at the main panel. I also checked the thermostat. I was told there would be a $79 charge for the service call and to diagnose the problem, which didn't seem unreasonable. The company came out promptly. The service technician was professional. As it turned out, there is a third breaker to the unit outside the home. The breaker had tripped. He flipped the breaker in the unit worked fine. My complaint is that they charged me $133. He did not tell me it would be an additional $54 to flip the breaker

I have never had an experience with a company more unprofessional and disappointing than this! Everyone from the owners to the customer service representatives were completely unprofessional. I had a misdiagnosis and paid a ridiculous amount of money. I’m trying to describe this misdiagnosis to them and negotiate a payment that was more suitable. They refused saying their techs are the best in the business. This is absolutely incorrect! Putting Freon in an air condition unit does not fix everything. I used Heads for about 6 years for AC maintenance twice a year. They came out in March and said everything was fine. In May we noticed we weren’t getting any cool air. They came out to check. I wasn’t home but the technician told my wife the compressor was bad and that it would cost $4900 to replace the outside unit only and replacing the inside unit would also would make it $6000. She told them she’d discuss it with me and we would call them back. The very next morning I got a phone call from Head’a asking when they could come out to replace the unit. We had been using Heads for the last several years for AC maintenance and always thought highly of them until this past May. First my in laws had an AC issue at their rental and were told by the contractor for Heads that the unit was old and needed a new part but he wouldn’t invest in the part because the unit was so old and it would be $6900 for a new unit!! Or replacing the part would be $800 but the couldn’t guarantee it would last. They weren’t prepared to spend that much and went with the replacement part and it’s been fine. Then not a week later our AC stops working after only 8 yearsâ€

The owner was extremely rude. He argued and yelled at me about my unit being under warranty. We are under a 2 year warranty and he wanted to argue that it was only a year warranty, all while I’m literally staring at the paperwork that specifically states 2 year warranty. He then calls back and says Adams Home called and did say it is in fact a 2 year warranty. No apology ever given. He comes out and fixes the issue and then sends me a bill anyways. Terrible customer service! Terrible ownership!

This used to be a good company before they start offering the repairmen commission when they sold an AC unit. My family and I used this company for years. The last time someone came out, they put freon in my unit and said I needed a new unit because the leak was coming from within. I called another guy who looked at the unit and said you have a leak in a hose outside. He could tell because leaves and dirt had settled in the spot where the hole was. He fixed in about 10 minutes and havent had a problem since. The time before that, someone came out, and didnt bother to look at anything, and said

First time home owner here who should have listened to her father the first time he suggested Head's. Actually called a different HVAV company initially. That tech said a clogged drain line was the issue. It wasn't. Head's came out and actually listened to my husband and I about the problem, then proceeded to run his own diagnostics and handle the repair needed.
Not a clogged drain but a bad module.
The tech was friendly, very knowledgeable, and I thoroughly appreciated him explaining to me what the issue was.

I realize some people had an experience quite different from mine, but my recent experience with Head's was quite good. I would give them 4 3/4 stars if that were an option. I recently bought a house in Mobile, and was given paper work showing the AC coils having been replaced in January 2018 by Head's, with a 10 year guarantee. On some of the 1st hot days this year, the AC did not seem to be cooling efficiently, and there was quite a lot of condensation and then ice on the lines. I called Head's with some reluctance due to the negative reviews, but they were extremely responsive

I called Heads to look at an ac unit on a rental house. The tech called me and stated he wanted 140$ to change out a 15 dollar capacitor. I said no thank you. The tech left no bill and a bill was never sent to me. A year and several months later I get a bill with finance charges added to it. I called and asked for a bill to be sent to me without all the finance charges added to it. She said she would email it to me. I'm still waiting.

Called Heads because im under a 5 year warranty with my heating and air system. Called on Monday evening when i found only warm air was blowing from my vents in 90 degree weather. I got an after hours "call Center" that had screaming kids in the background. She said a tech will call before they come out there but no emergency service for monday night. I didnt hear back from them on Tuesday so i figured out the problem myself and fixed the AC unit. They finally called me Wednesday evening and said a tech will be out but has 2 stops before me!!!! I CALLED MONDAY NIGHT!!! DONT BOTHER WITH

Came to house to check A/C because it was freezing up and said that unit was from 1994 and would have to be replaced. Bull ___ house was built in 2004. Wanted to charge me $13,000 for a complete new system when all I need is an evaporator coil which I am sure can be found by a local distributor for a couple of hundred bucks.

Called them and they said they would be out later that afternoon. When I realized it was after 5p I called to see why they weren't here yet. I got the answering service. They said they'd page them and they would call. They never did. So we got a no call no show and we couldn't call someone else since it was after hours. I live within walking distance to their freaking office!
I'm never going to use them again and I'm going to tell the entire neighborhood about their bad service.

Had the misfortune of having both of my AC units go out within a week of each other. Called Head for the first, and a competitor for the second. Head charged $137.00 for a $20.00 Capacitor - the second firm charged me $45.00.
Heads Bill = $255. Competitors Bill = $145.00 and the competitor came out over the 4th of July weekend. When confronted with their outrageous charge they held firm to this customer who has given them well over 15K of business.
