Most people that have homes with oil-powered hydronic or steam boilers, know that they can be a pain to maintain. You have a chimney, an oil tank, and the assembly that burns the oil. All of these parts have to be watched closely. One of our customers was running an oil-powered hydronic boiler and switched to an electric.
He told us that he began saving $800 in his first winter month and an average of $100/wk for his 1600 square foot home with outdoor walkways. The electric boiler did replace a 20 year old boiler but a heating unit was also added to the garage area. Our customer's calculations: A full return in investment in 2.5-3 years.
This was based on energy use only and did not include any maintenance or parts. This customer's job consisted of installation of the electric boiler and running new electric to the new electric boiler. In 2007, Joseph & Cherrie decided to start Best Plumbing & Heating LLC, with Joseph concentrating on the trade side and Cherrie running the office. Joseph began plumbing in 1989 with a large local plumbing company. While attending a 5 year apprenticeship, Joseph worked on many large commercial and industrial projects.
These pictures show examples of snow melt tubing installation that we can do and have done. The placement of tubing both in depth below top of concrete/asphalt and spacing of rows is critical to a properly operating system. If it is too low or improperly spaced there will not be complete melting of snow from sidewalk or entry way.
This customer contacted us because they were unhappy with their last plumbing contractor. This is the cooling piping headers for their yogurt making machines. Notice the curve of the wall. We had to make this pipe on site. After prefabricating the header on a straight copper pipe, we softened it and then bent it by wrapping it around the wall.

Joe's Best Plumbing installed an outdoor water pipe at our home in December, 2017. The pipe's entrance into the house was not done properly. Every time it rains, water comes in through the wall. Granted, Joe and his team tried to rectify this by various means, but to no avail. When it rains, we have water seeping in through the garage wall.

We had a leak from our upstairs shower show up on the kitchen ceiling. Freaking out we called a technician to come help and after a quick inspection they determined we just had a loose drain on the bathtub that needed to be tightened. They didn't even charge us for the service saying that it was such a quick call! Now we're just a small drywall patch away from putting the whole thing behind us. Absolutely amazing service.

There are NO words I can say as to how happy, thankful, and pleased we are with BPH. Chris and Ralph were here within 45 mins. I was in a panic mode cause I had water squirting of the value on our water heater. These two worked fast and took care of my issue. Very professional, friendly and got the job done. I have been using Best Plumbing & Heating for 3-4 years for all my needs managing multiple properties. Joe is the BEST! That's why they call it BEST! So I live all-the-way-out-in-Stead (which is how everyone in Reno always refers to it LOL) and have had trouble getting any workmen of any sort at all to come out here. Prior to contacting Best Plumbing, I had ONE other plumber who agreed to come out, and HE, it turned out, was never even remotely serious about doing any work. I called them because our water heater pilot light kept going out. He came quickly at the appointment time and fixed the problem within minutes. He didn't even charge us a dime since it was just a simple adjustment, even though he would have been within his rights to do so.

Upon returning from a trip I found my water bill from TMWA to be extraordinarily high. I found that, even with my water supply to the house turned off my meter was spinning. I called Marcia at Best Plumbing and she had Joe out at my house withing a short time. I am so grateful to Joe and his Company, Best Plumbing & Heating. I was looking for Plumbers to donate their time to help 2 of my Veteran families that I am a caregiver for. I'm writing this based on the professionalism. The 2 men that worked on my mother's sink smell straight like an ashtray. The whole house smelled like cigarette smoke by the time they were done. One of the workers used the bathroom and left the toilet seat up. Going out to your truck to get supplies shouldn't be used as a smoke break when you're on the clock. My mom has cancer and doesn't need the 3rd hand smoke in her house. The work they did was good, but please be considerate of your cigarette habit when you're at someone else's home.

I called and asked how much it would be to have a new faucet installed. Was told it was going to be $110. I agreed and had them come out. During the work that they did they told me another part had to be replaced. When asked how much they said it would be about $15 more. At the end of the service I waited for 30 min for my invoice that they couldn't get because the person on the other line of the phone couldn't find the part. They hand me a pice of paper with no total on it and a few things listed in the item list. 3 days later I finally get an invoice by email with a price of 205

I contacted Best Plumbing 2 days ago, regarding a noisy hot water recirculating pump, and have not heard a peep from them. I unplugged the pump, and figure I'm saving $25-30/month on gas & electricity. Thanks for nothing. Best Plumbing will be one of the last companies I will call for any plumbing work.

My only regret is that I didn't call sooner! I had a broken, leaky pipe in my sprinkler system. Joe came out and got it fixed quickly, and made sure the system was functional and reset before he left. Best Plumbing & Heating was very transparent about costs, estimate was reasonably accurate - I'm pretty happy to have found a resource for help when I need it.

I hired Best plumbing from three other estimates to re plumb my house after the pipes ruptured under the slab of my house. When Joe came over to look at my problem I submitted to Joe what some of the other estimators had proposed. His proposal on how he would accomplish the installation made so much more sense and much less damage to my house. His crew was efficient and cleaned up daily. If you are going to give an estimate, state this is based on hourly.
We hired them to move our plumbing to the side of the house, 7 inches or do they stated $400.
Then we wanted them to move our sprinklers to the grass area because we were getting a pad poured, $100. Nothing stated per hour.
We had decided not to move sprinklers so save on cost.
They showed up today with a bill for over $830 and my husband said we would pay $800.
I sm so pissed. You all were not here for amount of time you stated you were.
Do not use them...I was completed dissatisfied
