Services
Maid1.com is a team maid service with European roots that started cleaning Chicago area homes in the early 1980's. Like many other family owned businesses we started by doing the work ourselves and then growing from the ground up. Now more than 30 years later we are operating what we would like to see as a professional house cleaning service.
National emergency has been declared so we will be suspending our operations until we have more clarity about the situation. We will resume when we know we can do it safely. On a referral from a friend I booked Maid1 to come into my home for a first time cleaning. I had the intention of booking regular service if I liked their work. I've had very bad experiences previously so I was a little weary.
Well let me tell you! They are WONDERFUL! They did a spectacular job, very thorough, thoughtful and a pleasure to work with. The owners are very involved which is nice. Marek came to the first cleaning and stuck around to make sure everything met my expectations. He said they don't attend every cleaning but they like to be around for the first. My Mom-in-law referred me to Maid1 having used the service for about 12 years. I had previously tried two other services and had not been satisfied. They have been coming to my house for for several months now and I am very happy with their service. After I first called them, Marek came to my house and asked me what I would like done, and reviewed how they did things. He and his staff have been very pleasant and reliable, and my house looks great after they come to clean. I am happy to recommend them to others.

My mother has used Mirek and Sylvia's crew since I was a child, and now my husband and I use them for cleaning services. Both Mirek and Sylvia are lovely people and their crew is attentive to detail, fast, and thorough. They will use more natural cleaning products (such as kitchen soap on counters and vinegar on floors) upon request to reduce odors and toxins. Services are fairly priced, and the providers are all very trustworthy.
