Artificial grass, sometimes called synthetic turf, is an excellent landscaping choice for many hard-to-grow areas or where water drainage is limited. Most people are familiar with artificial turf that is commonly used in sports stadiums. The difference is that artificial turf is synthetic and has no grass in it. Artificial turf is also made with materials that simulate the look of natural turf grass. However, synthetic turf is not actually grass; it is composed of synthetic fibres that resemble grass.

In the past, artificial grass used to be made out of wood but now they are made out of polyethylene fibres. The cost of installing artificial turf can vary widely depending on several factors.
