My furnace started throwing out cold air at 9:30pm. Not sure what to do i called a local Fairborn Company, Detmer and Sons. The man was nice when i asked what to do, so he said that if they came out it was a good chance they may have to get a part. It was not that cold so i asked if i should turn it off. He said well what ever you want to do. I got upset because i did not know what to do. He walked me through how to make sure it would be safe until they could come out and fix it. I appreciated that. Next day they came out, found out it was a gas valve and ordered the part. This was just before

The service experience is excellent beginning with a friendly & efficient scheduler, a call with ETA from the technician the day of your appointment, an on-time arrival, friendly & competent service and cleanup without any attempts to oversell. We have utilized the services of local competing heating & cooling companies in the past, but Detmer is our choice from now on. Highly recommend!

Detmer and sons is THE BEST. This is only the second review I’ve ever left on Google because i don’t usually bother. But their service is second to NONE. They are flexible and professional. Even the people who answer the phone are wonderful. The CAA PLUS service package is a great package at a fair price. I wouldn’t dream of hiring another company for my HVAC services - as long as Detmer is in business, they have my business.

They have a great maintenance agreement I buy every year. This time Detmer called me because they happened to have an opening which is great because I always forget to call on time. I have a “vintage” heating/cooling unit that surprises them every time that it’s still running. The technician this time didn’t have a lot to say, BUT as he left, he mentioned the pan under my water heater was wet. This mention saved me probably thousands of dollars. There was a leak. So while this is not reflective of the work he came to do, it is reflective of the caliber of person he was. I will remain loyal

Detmer installed an add on himifier to my current system. My furnace is electric as I do not have propane or natural gas. In the winter time it gets very dry in our home and we previously have used a portable / refill required humidifier now no more lugging around containers of water! After 2 days of operation it was absolutely noticeable how much more comfortable the entire house felt! Wish I wouldn’t have waited so long to add this! Thanks Detmer and the technicians job well done!!

My 90-year-old Mother had a tree limb fall on her AC unit in 90-degree weather. Of course, it's August so there is no end in sight. The insurance company wanted two estimates so I called Detmer and another well-known company in town. The other company took a week to get here just to do an estimate. Detmer? 1 day for the estimate and 1 day for Installation. Flawless execution too.

Please please do not use detmer and sons. cracked. The said they would replace the patch but only spent 4 minutes slapping cement over the crack. It took me longer to find the equipment needed to fix the job (since they did not bring there own) than it did to fix the problem. I should have been able to charge them the $109 they charged me for materials. I would give them a negative star if I could.
