Kemper Construction Inc. (KCI) was founded in 1994 by Bill Kemper. Bill worked as a union carpenter for 25 years before establishing Kemper Construction. Bill gained much of his industrial and commercial construction knowledge having worked in many Central Illinois powerhouses for companies such as Babcock and Wilcox Inc., Power Systems, and Riley Stoker as superintendent.
He also held superintendent roles for V. Jobst and Sons and C. Iber and Sons. In the past 20 years, Kemper Construction has built and thrived on a good reputation and quality work. Our focus remains on building quality relationships with private clients and expanding into the public sector. Bill officially retired and sold Kemper Construction to his daugher, Kara Kemper FItzjarrald, and son-in-law, Dan Fitzjarrald.
Kara and Dan have been actively involved in the leadership of Kemper Construciton for 8 years, since graduating from college. Since its founding, Kemper Construction has been a self-performing General Contractor.

Kara graduated from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2007 with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Construction Management. Upon graduation, Kara began working for Kemper Construction. At KCI, Kara's primary focus is project procurement, estimation, and project management.
