John Nelson founded Heartland Construction and Design in 2009, following in the footsteps of his father John Jr. and grandfather John Sr. both master carpenters and owners of Nelson Industries. John has experience with all realms of construction from fine custom furniture, residential remodels and builds, historical restoration, to commercial and military construction.
Mark Ferguson, an integral asset and part owner, has been part of the Heartland family for several years now. Mark has a strong background in project management, site work, heavy equipment, concrete, and rough carpentry. Marty Burton, our house electrician, enters his 31st year as a master electrician.

John and his crew are phenomenal! I hired them for a new construction and they didn't disappoint! Heartland Construction is currently building our dream Home. John is a knowledgeable, dependable, friendly Contractor who actually cares about owners and their project. He is quick to act on any issue which may arise, and has ideas on how to fix them. I would highly recommend him for ANY future projects one may be considering.
