Services
50 years ago, M.D. Descant Construction Company began on Slaughter House Road in Bunkie, Louisiana in a 12'x24' metal building. Half of this structure served as a warehouse to store a ragged F-750 bobtail dump truck which was essential to the business. At that time, Mr. M.D.'s primary focus of his business was residential construction in and around the Bunkie community.
Our pre-construction service department works with the owner to perform preliminary planning and engineering in order to define the project, identify potential issues, and analyze cost impacts. This allows our team of managers to focus on overall project scope, schedule, and costs as early as possible to ultimately help the owner to determine what the project budget will be and even if the project is viable.
Our construction projects here at M.D. Descant, LLC begin with an in depth meeting of the project manager, superintendent and project executive to outline scope and schedule of the project. We determine what potential setbacks could occur along with long lead items needed for completion of the project.
Design-Build is a method of project delivery in which one entity signs a single contract accepting full responsibility for the both design and construction services of the building facility. There are many advantages when utilizing the design-build approach. M.D. Descant, LLC design-build will manage the entire project from initial design to final acceptance.
