Megan Colby is the Controller and joined the PSI family in 2021. She comes to the company with a strong financial background with over 15 years of experience in various financial roles. Megan is a native to the Eagle Valley and graduated with a B.S. in Operations Management and Accounting from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

At Plumbing Systems Inc., we use a special plumbing inspection camera to inspect pipes which are underground or in the walls. These guys saved me - my water heater imploded & my AHS insurance were unable to find a contractor to fix it, so I gave up on them & called PSI. The weekend before Christmas Tommy came out & verified the tank needed replacing, & Zack & Donetin turned up Tuesday, 4 days before Christmas to do an emergency replacement. They were fast, professional, friendly, tidy & after 8 days with no running hot water, our heros. Thanks guys for managing to fit us in. I manage an engineering department at a luxury hotel in Aspen. I use PSI for all my plumbing, HVACR needs. They are very responsive and get the job done professionally and in a timely manner. They show up with qualified techs with top of the line equipment. We had an emergency one weekend and I had four techs a service manager and the owner on site taking care of the problem. The invoice is always inline with the quote. Don’t waste your time or money with any other company..

They all were patient with all of my questions and walked me through each part of the process, completing the job on time and within Mr. Salazar and the Town of Gypsum's parameters. Griffin our service person from PSI was on time and completed a thorough inspection and cleaning of our boiler heating system. He also answered several questions I had and then explained how the unit worked with our 5 heating zones, which I appreciated. The cost for this service was rather high in my opinion $325, a flat fee, for one person spending an hour at my home, which is the reason for my 4 instead of 5 star rating. I still would recommend PSI and would recommend Griffin because of his knowledge of boiler heating systems.

I have used PSI for several plumbing issues. I recently wanted to be proactive and had them hydro jet my drain line that runs underground from my basement to the sewer line. I got to see on camera the condition of my drain line. It was in pretty good shape but definitely

PSI has been exceptional. We live in Mountain Star and have always used them for basic plumbing needs.
Last summer we wanted to heat our outdoor living space which required a new boiler system in our garage. They were professional, always on time and finished the project in a timely manner.
Jim, the owner, suggested an outdoor fire pit different from our original plans and I cannot say how thrilled we are with the end results and appreciate his knowledge and recommendations.
From the owner to all the employees at PSI, we cannot recommend them enough!!

Update: 12/28/2020- they sent us an invoice. I called the main line and requested someone call me back to discuss. No one has called and they charged my credit card today. Terrible customer service!
After 3+ weeks of trying to get a toilet installed including no-shows for appointments and numerous excuses, we are going to the next plumber. I cannot recommend this company. Do yourself a favor and call the next plumber.

Biggest issue to date is PSI incorrectly installed a home water filtration system. This led to flooding and water damage. PSI didn't even have staff on call that night so another plumber came to help out.
I could provide more examples but the short version is PSI came to work on my house six times and caused two minor problems and one major problem. And it's been a real pain to get them to fix the problems they caused.

I have lived in the Vail Valley for over 20 years and this company has a stellar reputation with people that work with plumbers constantly . . . property managers. As for my personal experience, I was referred by my property manager to PSI in a dire situation at my townhome - several plumbing pipes had cracked under the foundation. I really do not know how it would have turned out had I not used PSI due to their responsiveness and experience. The owner Jim came personally to my home and met with me. We called one week ahead and booked an appointment with this company. They told us that they would be at our house between 10 - 1pm. We waited...and when it got to 2pm, we thought, well, we better call again. So we did. We were told that the person who was supposed to come to our home had an emergency and that they were very sorry. They said that he would now arrive between 3 and 5pm. He did not arrive at all nor did he call, nor did the office call to explain what happened.
So we tried calling and of course got the after-hours message explaining that if we called them, it would be XXXmore expensive

The plumbers themselves were great, but the billing was a bit of bait and switch. My wife was told it was a $100/hr rate for the work, but when the bill showed, some was at the aforementioned rate, but there was a flat fee for replacing the pressure release valve that was not covered by that disclosure. My advice would be to get EVERYTHING documented and detailed before letting them start.

We purchased a top of the line tankless hot water heater through a different plumber 13 months ago. It has never been able to run more than 1 faucet of hot water at a time. That plumber thought it was the gas line but after months of troubleshooting was never able to figure out the issue and just gave up (didn't come back). At one point the gas insurance company sent out another large plumbing company who wanted to pump a lot more gas into the house and put regulators on every appliance at a cost of $6000.
