Ferrol Johnson, originally from Bloomington, Indiana, says he first visited Durango in the fall of 2014 and after the second day was hooked. By the spring of 2015, he had moved here with wife, Ann, and son, Sabre.
While in Bloomington, Ferrol was very involved in helping his community and wants to bring that same philosophy to Durango. His previous company donated, designed and built organic gardens at every fire station in the city.

Doing what it takes to do it right. This is one of the fundamental principles of how Colorado Stonescapes, and owner Ferrol, operate. After the stellar job Colorado Stonescapes did with the landscaping for my front yard I did not hesitate to call Ferrol when my next yard project emerged. For this project Ferrol had to incorporate and work around a few existing features for a path in my backyard, some of which required some slight modification in order to create a functional solution. Ferrol Johnson is one of the most professional business owners I’ve ever dealt with. When I asked him to help me with a full backyard remodel he offered his own ideas for improving what I had in mind while completely respecting my plan and he added several lovely touches that really brought my vision to life. The retaining wall, walkways, patios and steps are stunning and everyone who sees them comments on their beauty- not what you normally expect with hard scaping but certainly well deserved.

We are so happy with the work Ferrol did in our backyard! His expertise placing the most beautiful stone in just the right place was beyond our expectations! We highly recommend his work if you truly want a unique outside sanctuary to call your own! Ferrol is also very very prompt and will work as hard as it takes to make your yard the best it can be.
