We had a unique request to use pavers that we already had and Victor came up with the pattern and laid it out flawlessly. His craftsmanship is extraordinary. He turned a dirt pit into our favorite outdoor space.
AVL also retained the hill behind our house and the landing to our growing dome. They were able to use local boulders that match our natural landscape and built beautiful solid walls that our kids love to scramble on. We highly recommend AVL!. We recently had a good sized landscaping project done by AVL. We couldn't be happier with the outcome, and equally important, the process it took to get there. I've worked with contractors in durango several times before, and communication during the work was important to us. Victor and his crew were fantastic to work with, offering good design ideas and suggestions throughout the process. They also kept us updated on the schedule and budget, and were always responsive to our questions or concerns. I used AVL last summer for a fairly large landscaping project. They put in a flagstone sitting area plus walkway, fire pit , and new planter boxes around the deck. They ran a gas line from my gas meter to the fire pit which had to be dug out beforehand. They planted beautiful perennials in the boxes and also around the sitting area. I selected boulders and other rocks that they arranged around the yard beautifully. The guys that actually did the work were superb. They were always on time and worked very hard throughout the day. The cost projections were accurate. Overall, I couldn't have been happier

As someone who is relatively new to the area (2.5 years doesn't seem new but when you have to go off of peoples' word and reviews... you trust sites like these... which is why I'm leaving this review)... it's great to find someone who actually does the job. The previous company I worked with... I received one bill (and they mowed last summer and plowed all winter) and even after contacting them numerous times figuring they would get it sorted out, they didn't. AVL Property Maintenance Inc extended the height of my fence so my pup could no longer escape. They are so nice, super efficient and the fence looks beautiful. AVL was my 3rd landscaping company since arriving here in Durango late 2012 and I LOVE them. They are super knowledgeable, polite, do what they commit to doing and do it well. Being new to the area, I was not sure what to plant where and they furnished me with a long list of plants to look at for each area of my garden. It is starting to look amazing and I am really happy. They have totally exceeded my expectations and I look forward to them keeping up with my snow fall this winter as well.
