Steve made sure we knew what to expect throughout construction and followed up quickly with any concerns we had.
At Velk Construction, we will create a project plan at our first meeting that details every cost aspect of the project. Payment will be expected at various points during the project, and will be spelled out clearly in the contract to avoid surprises. Velk construction did a large remodel in my home and the work they did was BEAUTIFUL! They were extremely professional and easy to work with. As other reviews have mentioned, it did take some time for them to get back to me with a quote but after working with them, it is obvious why. They are a very small company and they are extremely thorough with their quoting process. Steve - The owner was very easy to talk to and explained everything to me in terms that I would understand. I called Velk construction to get an estimate and they came out and looked at my bathroom and said it would take 10 days to get a quote. One month later I'm still waiting. I even called and emailed. If a business doesn't have the common courtesy to get back to you...well then I will take my business else where!!!

Had Velk do a few large projects over the course of the last year and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. Their attention to detail is impeccable, true craftsmanship every time. Their crew is very friendly and helpful with options when asked, respectful of our home, and helpful with our barrage of questions. Really good at taking your money.
Really, really bad at returning messages or showing up.
They broke my new toilet tank lid and told me it was at their suppliers'.
That was over two months ago.
They told me the cabinets were ordered , but they can't give me any kind of update.
I've been dealing with them for almost a year!

Steve Vlk has flat out stolen my money. I hired/paid him in July 2019 for window replacement. He never performed any work, never supplied any materials, and has not given my money back despite MONTHS of promises he would. As dishonest as they come.

We've known Steve for several years now and he's done many projects, large and small, for us. Most recently, he completely remodeled our deck, making it two levels instead of one and providing a keen eye for design. He's also remodeled our entire kitchen and master bath. Steve does quality, honest work and has a work ethic like no other. He's reliable, organized, leaves the place clean when finished, and is a pleasure to have on site to work with. We highly recommend him to anyone!

We recently had Velk Construction complete an addition to our home. From start to finish, their attention to detail was on point. They even had the rest of our home professionally cleaned when they completed the project! We especially LOVE the barrier free walk in shower that they designed for us! With my wife having MS, they helped us plan for the future with wider doorways, flush floor transitions, and a barrier free entry from outside of our home. They didn't have the lowest price, but they were the most through. Jeff made us feel so comfortable and was able to put a complete package together

Just had our master bathroom remodel completed. It is fantastic!!! The guys at Velk Construction are great! From the initial consultation to completion, they kept us informed about our project and even helped us swing a few upgrades. They treated our home as if it was their own, I think even our dog is sad to see them go. With two small children, any type of project is difficult in our house. They definitely exceeded our expectations! We will definitely be calling them in the spring when we decide to do our kitchen! As an added perk, they even had our whole home professionally cleaned and changed
