1 Backflow Plumbing has done our city backflow check for a couple of years now. They make everything very easy from scheduling to reporting.

John is the owner and does the work himself. He installed a new water heater for me. He is very experienced, professional and explained everything thoroughly.
He used to build homes in the past and I picked his brain on a few other projects I am planning around the house - he was happy to help and offered great advice!

We talked to John about a potential (and expensive) Backflow Prevention installation. Right away he seemed very interested in understanding our unique problem. He even provided a work around solution to our problem which would end up saving us from extensive work. I appreciated his honesty and creativity in helping us with our situation. John Cook did all the plumbing work in my house in San Francisco. This was a big job consisting of 3 bathrooms and kitchen. During my interview process, John took notes as to what I wanted done. John email the proposal with a full explanation of the work, cost and timing. I had work with many contractors and never had one that fully listen to my demands. The proposal clearly show John paid attention. The icing on the cake was a job well done and completed on time. In fact, there were issues discover during the demo process which would have cost me more money but John took care of them and did not

Good service, came prepared and figured out how to unplug 2 interior downspouts three stories up. No BS just hard work! Heads and shoulders above others who had “looked” at the job.

I was in a bind and needed someone to replace our broken kitchen faucet ASAP. I called John and he was at our place within 15 minutes. His price was quite reasonable and fair, but most importantly, he fixed and replaced the faucet that day. He didn't charge me "extra" even though he knew I was in a bind and it was late in the afternoon.

He also noticed that the dishwasher was installed improperly and he fixed that too--at no extra charge! I highly recommend John for all your plumbing needs. I believe he's also a licensed electrician so he can help on that end too!

PG&E told me one of our gas lines was rusting and needed to be replaced. I contacted John and he came right out to survey the situation. He came back a couple of days later and did a complete pressure check on the line, replaced the the rusting pipe and an additional section that had a rust issue. He did a workman like job at a competitive price. I would not hesitate to hire him again or recommend him to anyone who sought a reference.
