Elliot and his crew spent extraordinary time with me in making sure that the new stain color that I chose would blend well the old, existing color to achieve the overall final color that I really wanted - not an easy task when using stain over the whole surface of the house with different sun exposures.

Dave and his crew cleaned and stained our place in Tahoe Donner in June and did a fantastic job. They coordinated their work with our rental schedule perfectly, starting and finishing on time and budget. The work was first class and cleanup was comprehensive. Our place looks new! We will definitely be using Deden again in the future.

I normally don't take time to write a review. But, for the outstanding job Deden Painting did on our house I'll will take the time.
Deden Painting stained our house. Prior to the job a person from the company came to our home to talk with us. He explained the process. I was very concerned about my flower garden in front of the house. I mentioned this to the representative and he said "Unfortunately the flowers will get wrecked in the process." Of course I was disappointed but it was good to know in advance. Since this is a second home for us we were not there when the job was done. When we arrived

We hired Deden Painting, owner Dave Hunter, to repaint our newly purchased, seriously neglected, 20 year old home in Tahoe Donner. This included all walls, ceilings, closets...the works. He was prompt with call backs, competitive in his bid, helpful with color choices and bonus all around good guy. His follow up was great and made sure all was touched up and finished to exceed our expectations. After the fresh paint, our neglected wood ceiling and beams screamed attention and they returned to finish the wood to look brand new. We are beyond thrilled. I hired Deden Painting to repaint the entire interior of my 3-story condo in Northstar. I had 5 companies come to bid on this. Deden did the job quickly and professionally and the place looks great. I would recommend them to others.
The reason for the 1 star deduction is that they forgot to paint one small room (laundry - they came back and painted it very quickly), they put one of the heavy captains beds in backwards after moving it to paint, and there are some paint stains on the wood trim. All of these are minor. I am sure Dave, the owner, would have sent someone out to rectify these issues

Deden Painting stained my house and deck and did an excellent job. Dave was very responsive in providing a competitive bid and worked quickly to get homeowner association approval on our color change. Crew did a quality paint job and cleaned up without leaving a trace that they were ever there. Will definitely be using Dave again.

Deden Painting is the BEST company for all your home stain and paint needs. Very professional crew and super honest. I run Second Home Care and Dave Hunter never disappoints me and that is hard to say in a small town. He and his guys give the best you can buy. You get what you pay for in his field. He sticks to his bids and always delivers. The other guys will invariably come back with extras, not Dave. If you are on the fence go with Deden you wont be sorry.

Over the years I've worked with a lot of painters on remodel work--interior and exterior--and Deden Painting is the best I've worked with. We recently bought a cabin in Soda Springs and needed the entire interior repainted. Dave gave us a quick estimate that beat Bay Area prices by a mile, so I took a deep breath and signed the estimate, hoping for the best given that we are 3 hours away and not in a position to supervise the work. We were very happy with how our house turned out after having it re-stained by Deden. It had been eight years and looks great. They go the extra mile in their work. Also, Dave spent a lot of time showing us examples their work and also explaining different types of stain/paint and the pros and cons. We really learned a lot about the art.
