Yes, do your homework as said below. For example, search court records and read the 28 times KRT has been in legal battles. Do not trust BBB. Those are paid memberships and ways to keep your record clean. Reach out to those with negative reviews or ask around. Omaha is not that big and it's a lot of money. Still paying or living with errors in our home construction by KRT. Should never have "settled" for his solution to some of the know errors at the time. Should have demanded it be done over and made right the first time.

I had to rank at least one star because it wouldn't let me do 0 stars. Workmanship and communication were awful. Attempted to substitute cheaper materials on many occasions. Repeated untruths led to a confrontation after which he walked off the job, which he then attempted to use as leverage and hold us hostage. By this time, the project was 6 months behind schedule and woefully inadequate. Had to hire another contractor to not only finish the job but also to perform $125,000 of repairs. Hire at your own risk.

Kent and his team do excellent and quality work. I have had such positive experiences with them. It is pretty clear there are some malicious and false reviews on here. Do your homework, talk to people that have worked with KRT on home projects!

KRT did a great job on our master suite remodel, door replacement, banister and front door project. I was very pleased with the project and the people that worked on our project, but the best part is that KRT was very accountable. Every issue was taken care of and they came back and fixed everything on our punch list even though we didn’t submit it for 18 months. I would highly recommend KRT.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - We hired KRT Construction to complete our patio project this summer and were extremely happy with the process and outcome. They managed our expectations of time, were proactive in providing solutions to questions we didn't ask and did exactly what they said they would. I would hire anyone from the team that worked on our project!

KRT Construction should not even be in business. All the reviews posted are exactly what we went through with this construction company. A lien was taken out on our house being built by KRT because he is not able to pay his bills even though we paid him up front. Should have fired KRT the minute the basement was dug!!! Every step of the way to the finished product was a nightmare and continues on and on. KRT has very poor workmanship with a cocky, know it all attitude. Beware... watch his billing department! Cannot be trusted! We were charged $5,000 more than what we owed at the end. Our custom

Joe never answers his phone or returns calls, Kent (the owner) has his employees lie for him and say he’s unavailable when he actually is. They’re an unorganized mess at that place. My family hired them last year to do work, and was horribly unpleased with the quality of work they did. Kent has employees that are on parole, and allows them into our homes. Horrible! You all should be ashamed.

I'd give them 0 stars if I could. We hired them to do a huge remodel. Within one year the fireplace tiles/grout fell apart; the hardwood floors and baseboards needed another coat of varnish; and the pipes freeze in the winter in the new bathroom, and also in a remodeled bath (they never froze before the remodel. I could go on and on. What's horrible about this is everything fell apart after one to two years after we spent over $500,000. on the remodel. Don't waist your money; hire anyone but KRT. The worst part is it all looked great when completed. But now it's obvious

Fortunately we never started a project with them. Promised us plans 3 times and never delivered them. Frankly by the 3rd delay we only wanted the plans to see what they drew up. Never an apology or explanation why they never followed through after they were initially very excited to work with us. Can't imagine how they poor they would've been on an actual project when they couldn't even deliver plans.
