I cannot say enough great things about Apex and the incredible service from Lowell. I went in looking for tiles for my bathroom and was completely clueless about what I was doing.
Lowell was extremely patient and thorough in answering all my questions and helping me to select tiles that fit my vision and budget.
I would recommend Apex to anyone needing tile or flooring.

I recently re-tiled a bathroom and had very specific criteria about the various tiles that I wanted to use. I visited many tile stores in Chicago but was unable to find the exact combination that I wanted until I tried Apex. I was referred to Apex from a colleague. I called to see if I could get a design consultation, and was met with a rude and short conversation. Hoping I merely caught someone on a bad day (we all have those!), I visited their store anyway.
Waste of time.
I felt I was somehow a burden on their day as they had more important matters to attend to. Overall experience left me feeling small and insignificant. Needless to say, I didn't use them.
I decided to hire local contractor who referred me to a wonderful showroom filled with helpful and courteous salespeople. Trust the pros!

I purchased stranded bamboo flooring and subway tile from Lowell Krischer at Apex Flooring for my condo renovation. Lowell is a straight shooter and his service is excellent. Apex is a local store, no big box, and Lowell was there everytime I went in and everytime I called. There was an issue with my flooring order ( not Lowell's fault, it was the manufacturer) and Lowell was proactive and kept me informed. I would recommend Apex to anyone.

The owner, Lowell, is a real nice guy , is very low pressure and easy to deal with. Ive been to all the big tile stores and I much rather do my flooring shopping here. For a neighborhood store, he has a tremendous selection and his prices are as good as you'll find at other flooring stores. you might be able to find cheaper stuff at the big box home improvement stores but Apex has better quality stuff and a bigger selection.
