Services
Linoleum City was established in 1948 on historic Route 66 at 5606 Santa Monica Boulevard in Hollywood, California by Bill Stifter who moved his small company here from Chicago, Illinois. Bill speculated that establishing a business near a Sears, Roebuck and Company would help his own business grow.
Indulging in nostalgia just got easier with Linoleum City, one of Los Angeles County's preferred tile stores. Our European-made linoleum, sold as tiles and sheets, is designed to evoke memories of a not-so-distant past. Linoleum was first invented during the 1860s but you likely recognize its place in 1950s dining establishments.
Our promise: Linoleum City is different from any other carpet warehouse in Los Angeles County. As a family-owned and operated business, we don't just consider profit margins. We know that when you're considering carpet, you're considering your home. That's why we take the time to educate each customer about differences in quality and grade, so you can be sure you're getting the most from your investment.
Linoleum City is Los Angeles County's favorite vinyl flooring shop. We carry beautiful and resilient products designed with the Golden State in mind, because for some, the California lifestyle is about a laid-back attitude and low-maintenance housekeeping. Enter, vinyl. Vinyl flooring has come a long way since the boring, builder-grade kitchens of decades past.
Sunny Southern California boasts some of the most sought-after real estate in the country, and Linoleum City is where Los Angeles County homeowners, builders, and designers look first for domestic and imported hardwood flooring. Whether your home is a mid-century modern Eichler in Thousand Oaks or a Spanish Colonial gem in Los Feliz, we have hardwood floor products guaranteed to bring out your property's best features.

This place just can't seem to get it right! The recurring theme here is horrible customer service! In a time when small businesses are struggling, you'd think the customer service would be a priority. No greeting or acknowledgment when you walk in. Older, grumpy sales person (maybe owner) yelled at me for having my 5 lbs dog enclosed in a carrier hanging from my shoulder. To the owners of this place, there's a ton of competition in Los Angeles. I work in the design industry and will take my business/$$$$ where I'm appreciated and respected. Your loss not mine! Pay attention

We give Patricia high marks for her product knoweldge and her great customer service; she is super friendly and so helpful. The entire experience was painless, including her recommendation for New Vision Floors, Raphael Ventura. Mr Ventura was highly professional, and did an immaculate job installing our linoleum. He used his common sense knowledge to help us make good choices. We couldn't be happier, totally recommend Linoleum City and New Vision Floors.

A great resource for my design work in film, television and live theater for the past 25 years. They are always my starting point when searching for flooring in Los Angeles. They also have a constantly changing selection of cut goods for smaller projects which does require some legwork to sort thru while you are there. Helpful sales staff always willing to offer suggestions and options.

I had been working on a kitchen refresh project for several months (basically did everything except new cabinets), but the floor was what I wanted to do something different with. Glad I found Linoleum City!
After much consideration, I decided on Marmoleum Striata.
I am full of appreciation for Patricia's willingness to help me, because I really had my heart set on a herringbone pattern. This meant the flooring tiles had to be shipped and specially cut (which proved to be a real challenge as well as a time delay), but with Patricia's persistence and Rafael's expert installation, my

Absolutely without a doubt avoid this place like the plague!!! They sell second hand material at a first rate prices (above retail). They are clearly getting damaged products by the container load from auction yards then taking advantage of the shows around town and over charging them. If you don't want to be taken advantage of and want your patterns to line up then DO NOT SHOP HERE!

Your friendly Local 44 flooring installer

I would have totally given 5 stars but - as with a couple of the one-star reviewers (mostly female) who got ignored and treated as invisible on the ground floor by all the guys-talking-with-other-guys - my first moments were enough to chase me out of there. BUT I'M GLAD I STAYED. First off, you walk into a CITY of flooring, so not being able to get any guy to acknowledge me was almost a deal-breaker. (and believe me, I was VERY motivated to buy!) Finally I literally planted myself in front of one of them (since the ones protected by a counter has been able to easily look through me.) and

Patricia is fantastic! I ordered my basement vinyl floor with Linoleum City and I couldnt be happier. I shopped around for LVT and their pricing (and service) couldnt be beat!
After the purchase, I think the most helpful thing Patricia did for us was recommend Rafael Ventura for the linoleum installation!! Rafael is a true professional and an expert installer, and I plan to use him for additional work in the future.

My family is thrilled with our new kitchen floor after working with Linoleum City. Patricia is amazing and we are so grateful for all of her help while we were being super indecisive about color choices with Marmoleum Piano.. I was repeatedly frustrated that certain colors are only available in Europe for Forbo, Armstrong, etc and that a lot of linoleum colors we loved (lighter colors & pastels, linoleum with beautiful textures/confetti/designs) were discontinued here in America. When we finally figured out what colors we wanted to use from the available choices Patricia was a great help with

This place is as good as they say it is.
We came by on a Saturday morning. We went upstairs to the showroom first. WHICH IS HUGE AND VERY OVERWHELMING. After deciding on what we thought we wanted, we came downstairs. That's when we found the existing inventory section, which is cheaper. Chris helped us pick one that we like and recommended a double sided tape to us for installation ourselves. He also explained to us the different options we have for baseboards. We ended up paying less than $60 for a small roll of linoleum and the double sided tape. We got a great deal and great service

I first checked Home Depot and Loew's but they had the usual Palmdale stuff for new cookie cutter homes. We needed some old school linoleum to redo our kitchen floor on our 1927 home. Our house has character and we wanted to bring back that original retro look back to our kitchen. We stepped into this place and they had every color, design, style linoleum we could think of. It didn't take us long to choose the color we wanted and the price was right.
