Mike was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1964 and his family moved to San Francisco in early 1965. Among Mike's hobbies are skeet shooting, bicycle riding, scuba diving and just hanging out and enjoying the scenery. Mike has been married and has one daughter who is his pride and joy. Mike Rivera started with North American Chem-Dry back in 1987 and grew the company from one franchise in San Francisco to covering Sonoma County as well.
During this time, all jobs must apply our sanitizer in order to follow the guidelines for operating as an essential cleaning business. This will come at an extra cost, however, it is well worth it. Our hospital-grade sanitizer is EPA-registered and has been approved for use against SARS-COV2. All you have to do is give us a call. One of our representatives will be happy to assist you with a free price estimate as well as discuss a date and time to stop by. North American Chem-Dry came to my condo today to clean my carpets, rugs, and a pretty old but functional recliner chair. Bradley did an awesome job and I am so pleased with the results. Their prices are competitive (I had called around first) and they even have coupons on their website. All my pet stains are completely gone. I was also amazed how the recliner turned out because its stains were pretty old and now they are gone. Bradley was totally upfront about how old stains on upholstery or carpet may not come out easily and I appreciated his honesty. But in fact he was able to remove them.

Again, Mike sends another reply to me how many years later. If I got the receptionist name wrong, it is bc I am not great with names. The company, though, was certainly the correct one.
If Mike would just let it go, I'd be willing to consider a follow up positive review for his mediation.

The carpet looks worse after they came in to clean. Talked me into a deep clean because they said that's what it would take to get the stains out. Their machine was leaking all over our carpet which created more stains, all they did was push the dirt around, then the carpet took 24hours to dry. I'm disgusted. How do these people live with themselves? I ended up paying 500.00 for a carpet that looks worse than it did before they came. I'm calling the BBB.

Skip this place. Don't be deceived by the false advertising of 3 rooms for $85 special on their website. The cleaning guy came, cursed because we live on the third floor with no elevator. Then looked around our place and jacked up one living room, a hallway and half a room to $200. He didn't want to do the work and left very rudely because we said that was not what we were quoted. He said "too bad".
Wasted our time waiting for his arrival and he came into our homes with such negativity.

Yes, after the price had been jacked up and Mike was very rude on the phone, I did offer the tech, a nice guy, $150 for completing the job on the side as I had no intention of conducting business through the owner. And the private message Mike sent after I posted the review refers to me as a "person of such low morals and class. I am going to enjoy making a mockery of you in my reply on Yelp".

I have been doing business with Mike RIvera & North American Chem-Dry for over 25 years. Every visit has left my carpets perfectly cleaned, and now that there are three cats in the house, it was also necessary to have the upholstery and dining room chair seats cleaned as well. Most of the stains came out, and I was informed in advance that there would be a few stains that wouldn't come out. Such is life. The young man who did the cleaning was running a bit late, but called to let me know so I wouldn't worry. Everything looks great, and I do recommend North American Chem-Dry.

Negative, do not use.. This should be a lesson to me to always read yelp before hiring, I too saw there professional website, and liked the $85.00 for 3 room indrocutory rate. We only needed one room cleaned, and they said that would be the same price. So we figured why not, my roommate moved furniture around in two rooms for the anticipate cleaning.
They arrived 3 hours late, and when he came in he took one look at the room and said it would be $150 for the one room, because it needed deep cleaning. There was only darker spots from foot traffic, not stains. And this did not included the other

Great consumer experience! We have three boys who play soccer and run up and down the stairs playing in mud from the yard. So the carpet on our stairs was almost impossibleto keep clean.I was actually thinking of getting rid of it. But Salam came in and made a good as new.
He also did a great job on our rug and high-traffic areas around the house.scheduling was easy and rates were awesome. Five stars all the way.

NEGATIVO this place blows, their 'steamer' also includes a vacuum - which is total crap, they didnt even come close to picking up the little dust bunnies on near the base boards - they spilled water/solution everywhere and then tried to leave it - when I asked for them to clean it up, they used MY paper towels and still left puddles everywhere. Their 'invoice' doesnt even have their name on it - this place is a JOKE!!!!

Mike, the owner coordinated a time to come out and help us with some general carpet cleaning and treatment for dog pee. He was on it from the start, and when the day came for our cleaning, he and his crew showed up on time.
Mike walked through our house and pointed out areas we could and should treat. He gave us an estimate for what everything would cost and we were able to decide which treatments we wanted. We ended up doing most of the treatments he proposed but left out a few we didn't think were necessary.
His crew went through and did the cleaning in a reasonable amount of time. Then

On a follow-up call they promised they would come a re-treat the rug. Well, I called them today and they wan to charge me again ---THE FULL PRICE AND NOT JUST THE EXTRA PURT TREATMENT! Come on--if you do a poor job the first time, you can't charge someone the full price to come back out and fix it!!!!

Even though the woman answering the phone at North American Chem Dry can't tell me what's so great about the chem dry process compared to other carpet cleaning methods, I pick this place because they don't have a minimum charge. They charge by the square footage, not by the hour, which makes sense to me. There's also a 20 percent off coupon on their website. (If you call and ask, they'll tell you where to find it.) There are 3 different packages and the quote they gave me for the basic one came to about 34 cents per square foot. The fancy-pants "sanitizer" package
