I had these folks do our new bathroom and bedroom with new installation and they did such a great job I hired them to do refinishing on our staircase and was really just amazed at the fine work they did. Small family-owned business but they did great work. Found them on Google and opted to go with them as opposed to larger outfits because they answered the phone right away and answered my questions. I'm just really happy.

Used them to refinish my hardwood floors and stairs. Had some issues with scheduling work due to covid - and the team having multiple jobs at once.
Durability of finish is a bit doubtful with some serious scratches appearing in a week (we leave our shoes outside). Will be reaching out to see if Bob and team can provide a durable solution

After getting a proposal from another well referred company, I had Bob from Elegant Hardwood give me a bid. Not only did he beat the other proposal by almost one thousand dollars, he included more repairs and included the baseboard R+R for no extra charge. The 1950's era hardwood floors when done and refinished turned out better than I could have hoped for. It was great working with Bob and I will reccomend him to everyone I know that might need work on their hardwood floor or who would like to install one!

Bob is very knowledgeable about hardwood floors. He refinished existed maple hardwood flooring and installed new flooring (replacing carpet) in my home. Existing floors had a dated amber/orange stain and Bob was the only contractor that guaranteed a uniform finish (maple is one of the toughest to stain and can appear blotchy). He did 4-5 samples for us as we weren’t entirely sure of the color tones and finish (matte or satin). His team was hardworking, cleaned up after and were trust worthy. I hired these guys to install new hardwood but he convinced me to do refinishing, so we went ahead with refinishing.. I had follow up multiple time to complete job on given date and was completed after 4 days. I can see workers carrying tools around multiple job sites, so they take many projects at a time, which I wouldn't complain but not completing job on promised date makes these guys questionable.

We would highly recommend Elegant Hardwood Floor to update your hardwoods. We are so happy we choose them! On our main floor, we had them remove all carpeting and lace in hardwood to our current hardwood. They are complete professionals and know how to finish up a project to our satisfaction! Bob did a great job on refinishing the floors in the house I just bought as well as putting new ones in. He made suggestions about how to do it that turned out to be spot on correct. And when they pulled up the subfloor, he said he wouldn't lay the hardwoods on my kitchen floor because it was too weak. He would have fixed it himself, but my brother was able to (the cheaper route of course). I recently hired Elegant Hardwood Floors (Bob) to refinish the main floor of my 1920s home in West Seattle. After seeing the results, I'm really a fan. Bob did a good job with a tricky floor, and they look like new. Really an amazing transformation.

Very annoyed!! Made an appointment to get an estimate and 5 minutes before the time we were supposed to meet he cancels on me and says it's because of an 'emergency'. Okay, I'm not unreasonable, stuff happens, so I reschedule for the following day. After he was over 30 mins late I called and he FORGOT about my appointment!!?! It was a huge inconvenience since I don't live at the house and had to drive up there twice for nothing. My advice- use a different company

I can't even dignify this company's quality of work with any stars. We hired Bob and his crew to repair and refinish our oak floors in our 1920 bungalow. He promised the floors would be perfect after his team finished; replacing some stained boards, filling cracks, renailing and applying 3 coats of finish. After the first go around when he came to be paid for his job and we refused as the quality of work was substandard, Bob agreed that his crew had not delivered the standard he promised. They came out to give us a quote to refinish our hardwood floors and was reasonably priced. Bob gave us his speech on how good the floors are going to look and would be able to start the next day.
Well that being said I said sure, sounds good and gave him the keys.
Four days later I get a call and the floors are done. So when I had time I went to go look at the floors and they looked good, but that wasn't the first thing that caught my eye. It was the stained trim I saw all over the house. The baseboard heaters were also stained and he said that they would remove the baseboard heaters. There

Update: Changed the rate from 2 to 3.
Called and explained that Bob went to another client's house and thought that was me. He came again to my house and answered my questions. I still decide to work with them. However, due to he came one week late, I missed the deal on the lumber. The unit price increased $1/sq ft now. Had to pay $1000 more for the lumber...Will update again for the work result.

Really Unprofessional. Gave me first a quote based on the sq feet without seeing the place. Talked to him several times and had all planned. Then I called back to confirm the starting date one more time (just in case!). Bob found excuses to revise the quote and wanted to see the place.....should be the first thing to do from the very beginning. Missed 3 schedules and did not call to apologize for the missed appointments.

We just bought a house with carpet over the hardwoods and had the owner out to quote us a price to have the floors cleaned up. Without even looking at the floors, he insisted that we needed to refinish all the floors. We called him back to let him know we were going to pull up the carpet and tack strips and evaluate the condition of the floors before hiring him. He continued to insist that we commit to having the floor refinished and when we told him that we wouldn't, he told us not to bother calling him back. So we won't. I was pretty shocked at his rudeness.

They did a super good job for my house. The owner, Bob, is a very nice guy. I choose to refinish my white oak hardwood floor. He used good water base material/coating to my floor and my floor looks like new after refinishing. Most importantly, Bob gives a very very reasonable price. I called several companies to give me a free quote and Elegant Hardwood turns to be a LOT cheaper then the others.I would definitely recommend them to others.
