Services
GSM Roofing dates back to 1946, when Fred Gooding decided to pursue his dream of starting a roofing company. He moved from Philadelphia to Lancaster, PA and sold his car to pay for his first job materials. Fred hitchhiked to his jobsites until Bill Simpson - and his truck - joined the business venture.
We believe the prevention of accidents and injuries is so important, that a safe working environment has precedence over productivity whenever necessary. To ensure we provide a safe working environment for ourselves, and customers, GSM employs a full-time and fully dedicated Safety Director: Jim McDevitt.
Most of the work we do is based on function and performance. But every once in a while, our craftsmen get to deviate from the norm and create special works of art. The InsideOut Inspiration Gallery at our company's Ephrata, PA headquarters is one amazing example of what our team is truly capable of creating.

Troy & his co-worker went above and beyond while working the past few weeks at our administrative building, Berwick Industrial Development Association (B.I.D.A.). These two gentlemen were not only courteous, professional and friendly, but they were willing to go that extra mile. We highly recommend them and hate to see them go!

Three GSM employees with logo shirts, driving a GSM logoed truck, were maskless in the convenience store I visited this morning, despite a BIG FAT SIGN requesting a mask as a condition of entering. If they are so thoughtless about others in public, I would not trust them to do my roof. "I do not care about you" was embossed across their foreheads.

They pressured us into doing the work immediately without a proposal because "they were in the area" then proceeded to charge 4 man hours of travel on top of a 4 man hour job which really should have only been 2 man hours. When correction of travel time was requested, they only reduced it by 1.5 man hours, meaning we are still holding the bag on… the majority of travel time. Not to mention, I can only assume they charged the customers before and after us for the inappropriate amount of travel time as well. Not to be trusted! No GSM we will not be using you in the future.
