Our company was founded in 1963 by John van Spronsen, a young entrepreneur who immigrated from Holland. After learning the roofing trade, John established his own company called Bond-A-Ply Roofing Ltd. In 1974, John decided to expand his operation and purchased DM Henderson Roofing Ltd. John's passion, vision, and integrity built DMH into the reputable business that it is today.

After learning the roofing trade, John established his own company in 1963 which he named Bond-A-Ply Roofing Ltd. In 1974, he decided to expand his operation and purchased DM Henderson Roofing Ltd.
Tom is a second-generation roofing contractor who began his career with DM Henderson in 1989. Tom credits his knowledge of and passion for the construction industry to being raised in a roofing environment under the mentorship of his father, John. Tom assumed the role of company president from his brother, Ivan, in 2004.

We offer a premium shingle roof system specifically designed to last in our northern regions. These roofs come with a limited lifetime warranty and far outlast other traditional 3-tab and architectural shingles on the market today.
DM Henderson specializes in the commercial application of modified bituminous sheet (S.B.S.) membrane roof systems, single-ply membrane, DECRA, standing-seam metal, and green roofing systems. We are a bondable company whose work spans the residential, commercial, institutional and industrial sectors.
DM Henderson Roofing specializes in commercial waterproofing applications on bridges and parkades. We use SBS prefabricated membranes to protect structures from costly damage caused by the infiltration of water. Resistance to the most extreme weather conditions such as high and low temperatures, rain, snow, ice, wind, and the freeze-thaw process.
