CF Construction
We are currently working hard on all the WIND & HAIL DAMAGE that is throughout the area. Use this web page as a resource to learn more about us, what the insurance damage is, "Storm Chasers", how to deal with Insurance Companies, etc. As General Contractors, we can do it all. We work with many of the best local specialty contractors and make sure your job is completed with the highest quiality products and workmanship.

The surge in work has brought "storm chasers" from out of state. It is not hard for a company to "register" in Idaho. Their work may be O.K., but any warranty is usually gone with them when they leave. Any company with an Idaho Registration # of 47200 or higher, was not registered before the storm.
Services
With over 30 years of experience as a roofing contractor, and doing home remodels, I brought CF Construction here to the Valley in 2003. Below is a short history of my company. After moving my family to Idaho, I established CF Construction in 2003 after many years as a Roofing Contractor and home remodeler.
Experience matters when it comes to your home and helping you through the insurance process. Many screens and windows were damaged by the hail also. Some just have "beading" damage that is easily replaced. Others, the actual frame is damaged and the entire window will be replaced through insurance proceeds.
Your first step is determining if there is enough damage to file a claim. It is important to use a contractor that has experience in finding and knowing what hail damage looks like. Many roofers do not know what hail damage looks like. We become your advocate with the insurance company. If you have enough damage, we instruct you to call your insurance company and start the claims process.
Storm Chasing is a very large and established industry east of the Rockies. Contracting companies follow hail storms (which happen more often elsewhere) and temporarily open offices and appear to be local. They may do decent work but often leave as soon as the work starts to wind down and a new storm offers more opportunity, leaving you without a warranty.

These people did a roof for my mom about 3 years ago. She's 80 and we're selling her house now. Only three items came up on the inspection report- 2 minor things and the third, much to our surprise, we're roof issues. The inspector indicated missing and warped shingles in a few places. So I attempted to contact CF to come out and correct the issues. After trying to call several times with no answer and leaving 2 messages they were not returned , we were forced to find another company to come help us because we had a deadline for the closing. The issues ended up being very minor and

Since April, I've been helping my terminally ill brother-in-law, who has now passed away.
The roof was installed in June or July, but NEVER COMPLETED. About three feet of ridge cap was not completed. The story was that they ran out of shingles (DUH!, a roofer can't get shingles for 3 months???)
After phone follow-ups, I met with Craig (the owner) face-to-face in September and told him he would not be paid until the roof was completed. It is still not done. Now, the owner will not even have the courtesy to return a call.
CF also contracted for siding repair work that was never done. Craig

These guys are the worst roofers I have ever seen. I had them do a roof for me and they cut every corner and cut the corner off. They were piecing together tear paper felt with tape. They walking on it and tearing it as they go. My roof started leaking 2 months after. I called them to have them come fix it numerous times and they would not come fix it. BEWARE please use another contractor and don't go through having to have 2 different contractors to finish one job. Hire a professional.
