Artisan Custom Homes, llc is a small family owned and operated home builder and renovation contractor. The Company was originally founded in April of 2004 in Gainesville Georgia by Carl & Kristina Epp under the name Epp Construction Company. Prior to That, Carl Epp spent 6 years employed as a superintendent with a large national home builder.
Through building hundreds of homes he acquired the knowledge and experience needed to build successfully. Prior to that, after graduating From Georgia State University, Carl spent a few years in Finance, and a year and a half living abroad in Madrid, Spain where he taught English and studied Spanish to become fluent.
From 2004 to 2008 the company thrived while building in Gainesville and Dawsonville Georgia. We built Spec and Custom Houses in the 275k-350k price point. A few of the custom homes built on Lake Lanier were in the 600-800k range. In 2012 as the recovery began, we renovated many bank and investor forclosures, and in 2013 started building new homes again in Dawsonville and Cumming Georgia.
