John was excellent. Our heat pump wasn't working and he replaced a fuse and checked out the system. We appreciated his professionalism. He did say that we were probably due to get a new heat pump, which we know we will have to do. We have been having mice problems in the room where the furnace is and he provided a suggestion that helped catch a big rat.

Andrew was on time per appointment. He started trouble tracing and found the problem very quickly. He corrected the issue and the heat started working. This saved me about $3000 to replace a piece of equipment if he had not found the problem.

Cruz and Rene came out Thursday and cleaned and sealed my duct . They did a excellent job and were very professional and friendly. They were quick to answer my questions. They even left me 2 space heaters so I wouldn't be without heat over night when they took my old unit out.
Next morning Tyler and Johnny came out and installed the new Trane unit and explained in detail how to operate. Again professional and friendly. The icing on the cake was that Karin following up with phone call after. What a great team and would highly recommend to everyone for hvac needs.

Top to bottom, quality experience. Phone scheduler was courteous, detailed in explaining charges. John arrived on time, very thorough, explained what he was seeing as he walked through system check. No hard up-sell, just clarity about tenuous situation with an aging system. Follow-up to arrange visit and system upgrade estimate by Karen equally courteous. A pleasure doing business with these folks.

Staff were kind, courteous and treated our home well. They cover their shoes upon entering and lay plastic to protect my surfaces as they worked. John Pike, Mitchell Granados and Gabe Nickell were the technicians we primarily had contact with (don't recall the name of their assistants) and we found them all professional and thorough. They even set us up with cleaning reminders to keep our system running smoothly year after year:)

Similar to other posters, I've experienced the poor estimates and high pricing. I will say their technicians do the job well. Where they fall down is on estimates (underbidding on behalf of electrical subs by hundreds of $), follow through (you call for the permit, not us) and price ($500 to install a $100 thermostat). Really want to help a local business. But two tries later I'm disappointed.

I arranged for AE Heating and Air to check out my mini-split system. They neglected to tell me that they tack on $175 travel charge just to come out to my house in Mosier which is 5 miles from Hood River! My total bill was $323 just to find out that everything is working fine. When I complained the tech said he hears that a lot but I would need to call the office to complain. I also called to talk about their ridiculous travel charge and mentioned my displeasure. I was told that the owners would be informed. Well, I haven't heard anything from them so .... PLEASE BE AWARE- AE is not clear

This company did not fulfill expectations. They charge a lot. And the sales guy took the liberty of quoting the electrical costs. We accepted we were investing in our home. We expected the work to be done well. They failed to accurately work with the electricians to quote us the right amount. Their permit had my name spelled wrong. When I called to tell them one of the staff laughed at this fact. I do not find my name spelled wrong on a permit funny. They had the worst time processing our payment. Then we got the electric bill.
