Solar panels, or solar modules as they are sometimes called, are typically installed on the roof. These solar panels are made up of photovoltaic (PV) cells, which convert sunlight into direct current (DC) power. The DC power from the solar panels is sent to an inverter, where it is converted into alternating current (AC) power, or standard electrical current used your home.

David did a 2nd layer roof about 28+ years ago- it lasted and held up very well. Figured I'd better get a new roof before this one started having problems so who else would I think of? Off came all the old stuff and on with the new! David is a consummate professional (and a bit of a perfectionist) but that works for me. My roof is done, it looks awesome, I now have several vents (for lack of a better name) in my roof to help with hot air escaping, yea!

We hired Dave to install 4 skylights a few months ago, and he was very responsive and knowledgeable. He gave us a fair rate, and I also really liked that he does the work himself. His customer service was excellent, he even contacted me after it rained to make sure that there were no problems with the skylights. He kept the timeline that was promised and did a quality job. I would definitely recommend him, and use him for future projects.

Dave simply delivers. We had some rodents problems and the pest control company told us to contact a roofing contractor to address some potential breach points. We sent out for bids; Dave was quick to respond and came out for an inspection. Dave politely declined screening the potential breach points and said he could work with the pest control company if needed. He went on the roof to inspect if it needed any work. Dave was honest and said the roof was in good shape and didn't really need much; just a couple of broken tiles and addressing a leak in one of the valleys. His price was fair.

Dave's a lifesaver! I discovered a pool of water in the basement of my 'new' old craftsman and Dave was able to patch/repair thoroughly to hold me over until I'm ready to remodel and replace the whole thing at a later time. I've also had Dave do some work on my Santa Cruz property after I got a nonsensical quote from a roof inspector over there... Dave responed to my roof leak repair request quickly .
He came on time , he is a knowledgeable and honest guy who doesn't oversell you stuff , unlike some other guy I had experienced with . He did the repair on the same day , and explained to us what he did. Overall a pleasant experience , hopefully our roof won't leak again !

Put simply, Dave delivers.
I had discovered our leaky roof on a Saturday evening, put out some requests for quotes, and he was the only one that responded quickly. By Sunday afternoon he was on our roof patching things up. He also fixed some other broken tiles, helping us avoid further problems down the line.
The roof stopped leaking and I couldn't be more thrilled with his timely response. Needless to say, I'm a fan!

Dave doesn't care for his customer, his workmanship, or his business. Last year, I hired Dave to replace a leaking sky light. It was suppose to be a 1 week job. But Dave kept finding reasons to delay the work. Finally after lots of emails and phone calls, he finally finished the work 3 months later. Less than a year later, this brand new sky light leaks. For the last 6 months, I've been trying to reach Dave to schedule an repair. He kept giving me excuses why he can't schedule an appointment until he ran out of excuses. I had a piece dropped from my roof and need someone help me to repair. It's a 3 story house so it's very hard for myself to do it. I needed to repair a slow leak in my roof. I contacted a bunch of people through Yelp's quoting system. Only a few got back to me. Dave was responsive and very professional. His estimate was fair and considerably less than another quote I received. He also did not try to upsell me to a new roof. What I really love is that his repair is warranted for 1 year. I plan to use him again for roofing issues I have.

I moved into a house that had several minor issues with the roof, as noted from the inspection report (metal drip edge flashings that were coming off, exposed nails, missing shingles). Dave was quick to stop by for the quote, and I've decided to go with him. He started and finished the work in a timely manner, all by himself. His price was also reasonable.
6 months later, when the first rain hit, I've noticed a small leak through the ceiling. I don't believe this was from the area of roof that Dave had worked on previously, but I've decided to message him anyway.

We had a leaking roof due to incorrectly installed skylights. I checked Yelp and picked 3 roofing contractors based on customers feedback and number of reviews. David has the best score. He was also the first one to come for an estimate. His assessment of the problem matched other 2 contractors, but his proposal was unbeatable. While others tried to expand the scope to include unnecessary 'extras' or limit the warranty on the work, David went along to extend his warranty for an extra year with the scope exactly on what needed to be done.

We would give 10 stars if we could. David and his crew were extremely professional and meticulous. Our roof is a masterpiece. While I wasn't stoked to shell out the dough, I'd do it all over again for the quality roof we were given. I'm SO glad we didn't go with the cheapest quote. You definitely get what you pay for. I have had the misfortune of having unprofessional window installers at my home and this experience was a breath of fresh air! Thanks to Yelp, we met Dave, the owner of this company. He is a super nice guy! Friendly, always on time and professional. Right after he and his crew installed the roof over our house, we had a few rain. No leakage. Looking nice. We love our new roof! Like other people said, he offered very reasonable price. That's always a plus! :)

My electrician, Jason Romano had spent so much time at our home during the remodel, that I though I would ask him he knew a good roofer. "Roofer Dave", he replied. Called Dave, long story short, the roof is amazing. He had a tear off crew in one day that took only 2 1/2 hours to remove the old roof. Dave followed up with the felt and started on the shingles Dave is an extremely nice guy and was very patient with all my questions....and yes, there were many.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I had Dave check out my roof two years ago and he said it had a few years of life left in it. After checking out several roofing companies, I selected Visions Roof Designs to "re-roof" my home and install new gutters. Dave addressed all of my concerns (venting to reduce the temperature of our home, relocating the gutter downspouts for better appearance, the color of the roof, and timing to complete) and delivered on all these requests.

I just had Vision Roof put a new roof on the addition of my home. David, the owner does the work himself, cleans up every day and explained everything to me in great detail. He was always on time and extremely professional. It is rare to have an owner do the work himself, but that is what David does. He was also competively priced.
I highly recommend Vision Rood Designs!
