1 If your garage is attached to your home, air in the garage can travel through the doorway to your living area. An insulated garage door will reduce the transfer of air from the outside to the inside. 2 If you use your garage as a workshop, your comfort will be a top priority. An insulated garage door will help keep the temperature in the garage within a narrower temperature range as compared to the extreme range of the outside temperature.
My door squeaks when it opens and closes. Springs, rollers and hinges can squeak and be noisy. This is caused by normal use and does not necessarily indicate a problem. Before calling a professional service technician, use a spray-on lubricant (recommended silicone spray lubricant). If the noise persists, call a professional garage door installer for service.
Consult owner's manuals for additional recommended maintenance for your models of door and opener. There are routine safety and maintenance steps that you should follow once a month. Review your owner's manual for the door opener. If you don't have the owner's manual, look for the opener model number on the back of the power unit and request a manual from the manufacturer.

I called and talked with David concerning an issue with my garage door as I could not get in contact with my previous door repair guy who I had had nothing but good experiences with. He started out by bad mouthing the guy saying he had worked with him and basically said he would never trust the guy. My experience was quite different. Anyway, David said he charged a flat rate of $125 just to come out. I thought that was a little expensive but I wanted the door fixed asap. My parents' home garage has been finicky for awhile now. David is very friendly and polite he went out of his way to make sure that I felt comfortable with everything before he did it he is very knowledgeable. He took the to showed me a few things and when he had to come back he actually left one of his tools behind so that I can use it to lock my garage door, which is definitely something he didn't have to do but because I didn't have one he did let me borrow his for a few days so I thought that was amazing and very kind of him.

Great job and very knowledgeable. I called two companies before finding Empire Garage Door. They both would come tomorrow. Dave at Empire said he would be here in less then two hours. He arrived in one and a half hrs. Very professional with a well marked work truck. He even tuned up my second door at no extra charge.
