The air conditioner in your home is made up of three main components: a compressor, a condenser and an evaporator coil. The compressor is located inside of the condenser, which is the unit located outside of your home. The evaporator coil is located in the unit inside your home and is typically part of the heating system as well.
A heat pump works like an air conditioner in the summer, keeping your home cool by compressing refrigerant, and sending the refrigerant to the indoor coil. During an Atlanta winter season, a heat pump reverses the process to heat your home. An electric heat pump can be cheaper than fossil fuel in some areas when the temperature stays well above freezing.
The heater in your home uses one of several different fuel sources: natural gas, LP gas, oil or electric. If you have a gas or oil furnace, it is made up of four major components: the burner, heat exchanger, blower and controls. The process of heating your home starts when the temperature inside drops below what the thermostat is set to.

I called Etheridge because according to the previous owner records I inherited when I bought my house a little over a year ago, they were the ones that installed the AC unit and did all new duct work in 2012. I wanted to get the unit serviced and check why one side of the ducts is not drawing in air. From the very first call with Mr. Don Etheridge he did not let me talk and explain... I guess he just assumed I wanted some sort of warranty on the duct work? I did mention the unit was still under warranty and that's why I wanted to service it. He was quite rude on the phone, interrupted me and told
