Serving Houston, Texas and surrounding areas since 2002, Surface Systems of Texas' unique decorative concrete and concrete coatings products provide an outstanding architectural compliment to any home or commercial building where the appearance of stone, brick, tile, terrazzo, stucco or other extraordinary textures and colors is desired.
The essence of our Stamped Overlay and TerraStone applications is our special polymer concrete. Specifically, what makes it unique and so durable is the polymer additive itself. When mixed with cement, sand, and water (the ingredients in making concrete), a new compound is formed. Physically, when applied onto a stable substrate, the new compound exhibits increased compressive and flexural strength.
Surface preparation is the most important part of a successful coating or resurfacing project. Prior to any application, Surface Systems will ensure that the surface is clean and sound; free of dirt, oil, grease, loose material, and any prior coatings. Additionally a proper 'profile', or degree of porosity must be achieved as well.
The ColorFlake Floor System is a decorative concrete application designed to provide a terrazzo-granite look to residential or commercial concrete floors at a fraction of the cost of real stone (see our photo gallery.) ColorFlake is available in many colors and styles to compliment any decor, while providing a low maintenance slip-resistant surface with excellent resistance to staining, impact, and abrasion.

I worked with Surface System of Texas (SSOTX) when our house was built in 2016. My main contact at the time was Chad Borne. SSOTX put in the epoxy floor for our 3-car garage. I am so impressed with the work and have since recommended Chad to several of my friends. Six years later and the floor still looks brand new with the occasional cleaning. This week, I had a question and contacted Chad. Chad responded right away with very helpful guidance. That is extraordinarily excellent customer service.
