Located in Portland, Oregon, Soderstrom Architects was founded in 1984 and provides comprehensive architectural services specialized in education, healthcare, institutional, and faith-based design. Our philosophy centers around the simple concept that great design comes from collaboration. We design for and with our clients and the communities they serve, developing unique solutions for each client's needs.
The foundation of our service is our collaborative approach. We work closely with our clients to create unique solutions tailored to their culture, context, values, and needs. From initial studies and planning, through design, construction, and beyond, we work as a team to help clients achieve their goals at every step of the project.
We practice K-12 architecture because we believe that schools embody our greatest hope for the future. Creating state-of-the-art, sustainable buildings which guide the formation of inspired students is probably the most direct and tangible connection we have to the future of our communities. At Soderstrom, we are passionate about creating places that empower teachers, nurture students and engender civic pride.
Soderstrom has specialized in higher education projects for over 30 years. Our expertise spans all project types including student housing, science and laboratory buildings, student health centers, academic buildings, nursing classrooms, and multi-purpose rooms. Most of our projects come from repeat clients, which we consider to be a testament to our quality of service.
The Ferar Wine & Spirits Studio has been involved in the design and master planning of more than 70 wineries and distilleries throughout the Pacific Northwest, nationally, and internationally. Our studio was founded nearly 30 years ago with a passion for design that occurs at the intersection of landscape and architecture.
