The MN State Board of Architecture requires: A) graduate from an accredited school, B) years of work under the direct supervision of a registerered architect, and C) pass the 40 hour long Architectural Registration Examination.
I was awarded registered architect status in 1987. A larger firm might be needed for a larger commercial project, but your more intimate project deserves the individualized and focused attention you receive from me. From the first meeting to the first draft to the final inspection, I'll be at your side.

Since my billing system is an hourly fee you can decide (as the project proceeds) how much or how little you need my assistance. Most of my clients have never been through the architectural process before and don't really know what their needs are. Don't worry, I'll help you determine that as we go.

Many of today's building are built using only recent architectural "history" therefore they may appear fad-like and generic. I prefer a more timeless approach that uses thousands of years of architectural history. And rather than force your tastes and program to fit into one signature style, I let the emerging design reflect your preferences and the context of the site.

Client references are available upon request and will be selected to match your particular building scale and type of project. Many of my projects areprivate homes, which would require owner permission for you to see you the interior work. But many can be appreciated by driving by the exterior.
