Hi, I'm Mike King and I'm happy to provide you with your hardwood flooring needs. I began learning about the wood flooring trade back in the early 1990's while working for Martin's Custom Flooring in the Santa Barbara/Ventura area. During that time, I worked in many large, custom homes and learned about the importance of quality work.

We had a great experience with King Hardwood Floors. Mike was extremely responsive and easy to work with. The work started and finished on schedule. Our oak floors look great. Mike recommended we refinish using a matte finish which looks great. I would use them again when the need arises.

These folks are awesome! We've hired them twice: once to install pine floors in a cabin and once to refinish a hardwood floor. In each case, they were on time, professional, personable, and did an excellent job for a reasonable price. I would highly recommend them and will hire them again in the future!

I was referred to King Hardwood Floors by a neighbor...reasonably priced and very professional. We did a remodel of our 1992 home and hired Mike to refinish our existing red oak floors and connect 2 new rooms with more red oak. It involved re-scheduling with Mike 5 times due to our other subs changing schedules. Mike was EXTREMELY flexible and understanding...always willing to make adjustments to his schedule to keep our remodel on schedule. Our floor looks amazing! It was great to get to know Mike and I look forward to referring him to other neighbors.

We thought we needed to refinish our floors, but when Mike saw them he suggested a good buffing and a maintenance coat and said we could get a lot more years on them before a refinish (even with our 5 kids and a lab). This was great news for us, as refinishing would have been a much more expensive and long process! Mike was able to get us on his schedule in a timely manner, give us an excellent price (his price for 2 coats was less than other companies with just 1 coat), complete the job in a day, and provide excellent service along the way! I would highly recommend King Hardwood Floors for anyone

Where do I begin? King Hardwood refinished my 72-year old red oak floors (that had been painted :/ ) last week and they are gorgeous! Mike is extremely knowledgeable and has an extensive history in high-end refinishing. His crew, Scott (a life-long buddy, and Dawson, his son) were utterly respectful of my home — and my pets. There was a 2x4 patch needed, and Scott went out of his way to match the rustic charm of my old floors. Dawson? Well, he's the quiet one but his sanding and filling skills are spot on! All three went out of their way to work quickly and Mike even made an early morning weekend

Initially it was very hard to schedule. We got a quote and were not told that he couldn't match the finish on our dividing thresh hold pieces that were a different (cherry) color. Because of the way they were laid they had to be darker or it would look funny. We were not told this until the whole area had been sanded down. So we were kind of committed & compromised on having them stained a different walnut shade and were charged and extra $150 for the 6 boards. Getting a response throughout this process was very difficult. It took repeated emails and texts. Once complete there were several
