If I could give five stars to the movers and zero stars to the Claims Department, I would. The gentlemen that moved my family were great. My moving coordinator was also great! However, Thurston Hill in the claims department has been awful to work with. His responses were anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks a part. He would not answer my questions, and when he responded would only say he was looking into it. My claim should have been finalized a month ago. Until I demanded to speak to his supervisor Teresa Brown, nothing was accomplished. I hope if you move with this company, you do not have to file

This is the WORST moving company ever. I moved a year ago and put in a claim immediately for missing furniture and other items, damaged things and my entire box of broken dishes. I haven’t heard from anyone. You call and the line only repeats the same thing. This is a disgrace and this company should be investigated because seems like they’re stealing to me. It costs thousands to move me from FL to AL and they overcharged me for sq.ft.

Rudy and his team deserve 5 stars!! Very nice to work with. They kept my furniture in storage for 60 days at no extra cost as my closing date kept changing. They were very professional and eager to place furniture and boxes in the correct rooms.
My initial cost was more than quoted but I was told up front that it may be more depending on my household load. I had allot of books and other miscellaneous boxes. Buddy and David on the Sales and Booking end were wonderful to work with. I would certainly use TransWorld Van Lines again!!!!

DO NOT use this moving company. Crooks! All of our items arrived with the exception of a box of watches valued at over 11,000. When trying to place claim gentleman I talked to was borderline abusive and put the blame on me for not taking them with me (yes I agree) I should have done that. If you want moving company that is going to interrupt you and blame you for when something goes wrong feel free to use this fraud of a company

Absolutely horrible. Shawn King was the saleperson who contacted me with an estimate. Extremely pushy, then dismissive when he has your business. My account was overdrawn due to his error and he has done nothing to fix it. The move out was great, the move in to the new place was incomprehensible. One mover walked out on the job because he felt the other mover was disprespecting him. This was after calling me expletives and demanding a tip. My mother and I were left to help the one mover do the work I paid them to do. Multiple things were broken including a solid wood table. Transworld was

Prior to signing I noticed that the quote said 30 boxes, which based on the other quotes I had received did not seem like enough for a 3 bedroom house. They assured me that the number of boxes did not matter because the amount of space was based on if they did not disassemble any of my furniture. So I signed as they are the professionals not me. Even in mediation with the Illinois Attorney General's office, they still continue to lie and deceive. They're acting "confused" how I could possible come up with a 1,860 CF capacity measurement for their 26 ft box truck. As a layperson, I looked up 26 ft box truck capacities on Uhaul, Penske, Budget, and Ryder, and they're all in the 1,500-1,900 CF capacity range. So how is it that these movers are so absolutely flabbergasted and confused at how I measured their 26 ft box truck and came up with 1,860 CF? Simple second grade math folks! In the interest of brevity, they committed fraud by charging me for a 4,500 cube move when the truck that held all of my posessions had a capacity of 1,860. They have absconded with over $14,000 EXTRA of my cash, and the company is unwilling to research what went so terribly wrong with their agent. Aside from the deceptive theft of $14,000 by overcharging me for space, the movers packed my items haphazardly on the truck, resulting in multiple damaged pieces, a torn rug (they folded it up and tossed it on the truck) and lamps literally dumped into a box ON TOP of the lampshades! Be VERY wary before booking with this moving company. They purposely under-quote your move cost so that you will book with them, and will slap on extra fees at every step. The first red flag I should have noticed was the 30% non-refundable deposit and contract - which they are very insistent you sign right away. I've had great experiences in the past with other moving companies and didn't realize how sneaky this company was until too late. First, they weren't able pick up my stuff before my move out date and had to extend my lease. They did not care at all and would not even call

I needed multiple quotes for moving since it was for work. They offered a bid and purposefully included the greatest discount to win the business, and then once their movers came and packed everything in their truck they told me it would be double the price. DOUBLE. I then couldn't reach anyone at their office to discuss, and the movers told me to pay the price or they'd leave all my belongings on the curb in NYC. What's more, my company also paid for the packing - and they didn't fully pack. They skipped entire cabinets and closets, left carpets and artwork

The were extremely dishonest in their estimate. Very disrespectful when I called to ask where my items were. They have very little ethics if any at all.

Was supposed to get 24-48 hours notice of delivery and I got less than 12 hours.
Said they wouldn't broker the job, but that is exactly what they did. Stay away!
