HBM is rooted in a long tradition of successfully assessing, planning, and designing library buildings. We have helped our clients through more than 500 library projects that envision new, expanded, or renovated facilities. Our staff have a deep appreciation and respect for librarians, library buildings, materials, services, programs, and what they mean to their communities.
At HBM Architects, we design new library buildings and renovate existing ones, but the most important thing that we do is to help libraries plan comprehensively for their future. We do this by assessing current facilities, reviewing current and projected community demographics and library metrics, and thoroughly examining the library's service model and how the spaces in each branch are being used.
Responsible for leading a project team through the coordination and delivery of project detailing and documentation. Participate in the creation and execution of conceptual design of a project with creativity, foresight, and initiative to achieve project requirements and design objectives. Maintain knowledge of current trends and technologies in interior design, materials, and furniture, especially public use furnishings.
